  • A huge oversight here, Gordon had no fridge or freezer issues here! Massive respect to Greg for a clean and safe kitchen.

Imagine watching your husband work 12 hour days while you don't work and blame him for not taking care of you.

This restaurant wasn’t a nightmare. Definitely a “wife” nightmare.

“I don’t know if it’s my fault but I know it’s my responsibility” any real father or husband felt that
  • @StarrChild.
Greg was actually one of the best guys in this series. His food wasn't the best, but it wasn't rotten or out of date. He never served anything that was unclean or bad for the customers. He just didn't have the right guidance or support. I hope Greg is living his best life.
  • Can we all just appreciate how one man kept that ship afloat... AND THERE WAS NO NASTY WALKIN FRIDGE OR GREASY DIRT ALL OVER!?! -He singlehandedly did better than most other restaurants on this show...

UPDATE- Zocolo's closed for the holidays in 2013 and didn't reopen. Mary and Greg divorced during this period of time. Greg remarried the waitress Maria, who is in this episode, and he is now a manager of a different restaurant. Hopefully his new wife is more supportive of how hard this man works. Mary seemed to only want to stick around if Greg could provide for her. That's shallow imo.

“I don’t like working” is the laziest and most unwilling statement I’ve ever heard
  • @trevorj3838
The fact she had to think if she still loved him says everything, guy deserved better
  • @CainSuzuko
Mary's disrespectful, lazy, entitled, manipulative. I feel so bad for Greg. He's a respectable, hardworking man with a whiney wife that doesn't even do anything.
  • @Jbargnani94
Greg was undoubtedly my favorite character in any kitchen nightmares episode ever. A true stand up guy, clean kitchen, clean food. All he wanted to do was run a successful business and provide for his family. Never once did he question chef Ramsay either.
  • "I don't like the kitchen, because it's too tiny kitchen....It's too hot." -- The audacity of this woman.
  • This the most respectful chef owner ever showed up in this show. Gordon didn't even have to argue to make his point cause this chef/owner knows he needs help. SALUTE
  • @TeenDream888
Greg defended his wife by deflecting Ramsay's question and answering that Mary works 'part time'. love that their daughter had no problem throwing mom under the bus and saying outright it was basically three days a week.

Greg is ABSOLUTELY the cleanest nicest appreciative loving chef / owner. I so hope that this place makes it . Greg is the only chef that is truly receptive to Chef Ramsays suggestions without the nasty ego , without swearing , and how refreshing that he is so respectful.. This is truly. REAL MAN ! A REAL MAN, WHO IS taking advantage of this gift from Chef Ramsay.. I’m sure Chef Ramsay loved this interaction as well.

Man, even from the initial sit down. The husband saying "I don't know whether it's my fault or not that the restaurant isn't doing well. But I know it's my responsibility." Such a good mentality.
  • @Epyxoid
Zocalo closed January 2013, it is reported that it closed for the holidays and did not re-open. After Zocalo closed, Greg and Mary divorced and he married Maria, a waitress featured in the episode.
  • Nothing more heart breaking then seeing a good man marry the wrong woman. He is literally a one man band, just hiring a chef would be the biggest load off his shoulder, but he doesnt have the support. Literally its the "they are there when he is succesful, and not there when not."
  • @Kazwens
“What is Caca” -“cmon man..” killed me
