Sad fact: This restaurant survived for 3 years after Gordon’s visit, but it closed when their second location (which they opened to ride the publicity of appearing on the show) closed due to an electrical fire, and they couldn’t financially recover. Al passed away in 2018 from his health issues. Heartbreaking when you see the potential for the place by the end of the episode.

Can we get a minute of silence for all the animals that lose thier lives for crappy restaurants that waste thier meat? I'm not even vegetarian, this is just sad

The first 13 minutes were comedy gold. That waitress lady had some funny ass comments. When she told the other girl "Girl they done fucked up all of this man's food." to the other waitress. I lost it. 🤣

I think the wings are a good example of how Gordon actually does go into the tasting optimistic. Immediately he said they smelled delicious, and despite the dryness clarified that the sauce on them was good. He doesn't just want to tear apart all the food, he only looks for and is honest about the issues.

"i'm not a chef so i don't know" "that's right, your name is only on the building, get it right" absolutely fucking destroyed
  • Todesha spittin them facts and dragging everyone is honestly a mood. You can tell she's been waiting for this moment to come.
  • @aniyilator
Gordon telling you to keep your eyes closed and not open them while he puts a surprise spoonful of food in your mouth feels like a line out of a wattpad story
  • @D.1.C.E.
Todesha was the star of the show. “We hardly make any money here, I’m not about to pay for this every week 😂”
  • @VPortho
Todesha is hilarious "our food is NAAASTEEE "
  • @Maqya
“Your name is only on the building, get it right.” That cook has the truth down.
  • Gordon called the waitress with "where's my lovely lady?" He's fantastic 😂😂 I love him 😂😂

Rip to Al and my condolences go to the family and their loved one. He seems like such an amazing and loving father and person.

Having garbage food while owning that level of smoking equipment, is a soul food war crime. Insanity.

If an adult doesn’t want to do something, they can’t be forced. As much as a parent loves his child…

Todesha is just the best thing that could've happened to this episode and restaurant. Absolute comedy gold. I appreciate this woman.

To be fair, Gordon, you can hardly expect people not to laugh when you call someone a Donut.
