Zwift RIDE Indoor 'Smart Frame' Review // $1299 Complete Zwift Cycling Setup!

2024-06-12に共有
The Zwift RIDE is the first commercially available 'Smart Frame' that pairs with compatible smart trainers to provide a full cycling hardware solution for Zwift. The US$1299 price includes both the Wahoo KICKR CORE ONE 'Smart Trainer' and the Zwift RIDE 'Smart Frame'. This bundle will be the initial offering, with the Zwift RIDE (smart frame only) available at a later date, and obviously at a lower cost than US$1299 as it doesn't include a trainer. This looks to be an attractive option for those looking to upgrade to a dedicated indoor cycling setup, or maybe just their next N+1 solution! Australia and Canada - You're also able to pick this up from Wahoo online in your countries too!

  • They have the pricing right. Love that a few people in the same household can adjust the bike to suit them. I think it's a winner.

Shane you are by far one of the best youtube reviewers out there. In fact one of the best reviewers full stop! No nonsense, tell it like it is and a bit of humour thrown in too! Keep them coming! Love your work!!!

I'm just about to move into a new place and the only space I'll have for my trainer is upstairs. This is a great solution for those who don't want to be taking a daily driver up and down stairs when you want a training session.
  • @amoz5566
Would get the bike by itself I’ll be waiting for that
  • @mikebrooks215
Awesome work once again Shane. Love developments in the indoor space and this is yet another one. I can see this area growing with more products to follow which will cover almost all requirements.

Wow this solves my problem of having 2 bikes!
  • i got a kickr core earlier this year and i have absolutely LOVED indoor cycling, for some reason the "gamefying" just tickles my brain in a way that out door don't. i feel a constant urge to wonna ride despite still being very sore from the day before, i have a cheap bike set up on it but i could deffinitly see myself buying the ride if they offer it without the kickr core. i can especially see the use of changeing handlebar reach and hight being very usefull for me atleast since i dont thing mine are that good on my bike but it being a rather cheap one i don't wonna spend alot of money on trying to fix it when i don't know how. having the option of messing around with the lenghts and finding something optimal without having to change different parts seems very nice for beginners like myself that don't have any experience with bikefit or overall mechanical changes of the bike. overall very exited.

I have had this exact idea for a few years now! I think it’s a very good idea in principle. I would buy one when it becomes a available without the trainer as I already have that part!
  • @lehtjug
For everyone who done lot of especially indoor cycling remember to check seat post occasionally that it isn’t seized. It hasn’t happened for me yet but this is as a reminder. Easier to sell bike forward when needed.

As soon as my Kickr v5 works with virtual shifting, I would love one of these!
  • @dtdcampbell
This is something I have inquired from a few bike brands like Canyon on. Been wanting bike brands to offer a partial build option for a frame/groupset to be specially used on virtual trainers.
  • This seems like a great solution. Definitely on my list as elements of current setup slowly wear out, breakdown and generally die. Price is ok too.
  • @MattSwain1
If this had been launched 6 months ago then I’d have definitely bought one as it was my trainer bike that was falling apart. Since then I bought a Kickr bike so I’m hopefully not buying any indoor training stuff for quite a while! Looks a good product and hugely simplifies getting into Zwift compared to only a couple of years ago
  • This is a very smart idea. Interesting that they’ve been slowly working on elements of this over time. I’ll be looking at picking one of these up. The adjustable frame will also be useful for pre-purchase bike fitting.
