This was my first time driving a Civic Type R.

Dealership greed is the reason why its not for us

Best interior camera angles ever! I got a true sense of the cabin. Great review.

Great honest review. Dealership markups on the CTR makes the competition a serious consideration.

Put a smile on my face every time I rode in the new Type R

I wish more people would track their FK8 - backroads are fun and straightline pulls are fun too but it shines best when pushed 9/10 plus

I owned 2 FK8s and regarding having a loud exhaust I preferred using the stock setup even with FBO because it was like being in stealth mode. I’m sure that you’ve all heard the proverbial Mustang from miles away…and all of the potential unwanted law enforcement attention…that it brings. Sometimes driving an overly loud car(especially if it’s your daily) is only fun for about ten minutes…then that noise is just constant…no thanks.

That’s why you throw a Greddy exhaust on it 😜
  • Ben how many channel names are you going to have? It is hard to keep up. Now we are JDM fan lol

The Red carpet long term will not age well compared to the black carpet. I know they are holding the og look but still, they should've made 2 option
  • Pricing most ppl out of the brand is why I don't have one. They are so expensive!

Everyone is paying the same if not more for this than the type S. It does look better than the previous gen

4:44 "everyone is going to be looking at you".... Yes please go on about that topic 🤔

Love my Type R in CW. Pull the fuse on the active valve for the exhaust and the stock exhaust sounds notably better!

I’m debating whether to get one of these or another great condition E39 M5 like I had. I had an FK8 Type R and it was fast and fun to drive albeit too cartoony. Really miss that V8 rumble and power, so I’m leaning towards finding a well-kept M5. It was my absolute favorite car and V8s are a different beast.

I really found a liking to this car via Gran Turismo 7. I was bit disappointed after finding out how much they're asking for it in reality. The JDM maker have basically priced themselves out of the market. Asking $50k for a Honda would be comical if it weren't so sad. That's Stang GT, S5, S4, M240, Supra, Golf R, Camaro SS, etc. etc. money, and all are far out of the FL5s league performance wise. Sheesh, a base 2019 C7 Vette started only around $56k.
