Why does ammo show its crit chance, even though it does nothing?

I think the only time having the CC on the ammo is useful is with the Coin Gun (since the weapon itself doesn't show CC). This is a very minor thing but I've always found it weird :)

Because devs are trolling us
-
I like this kind of stuff, explaining why something works the way it does from the perspective of the code.

Being an extremely powerful class with a consistent high dps value throughout the entire progression as the ranger is, many people would have never even wondered about such an insignificant detail. I hadn’t even known that the ammo CC stat was useless before watching this video – thanks for clearing this one for us!
-
Although quite minor, I think that cleaning up ui & making things as straightforward as possible is beneficial and will help in the long run. I hope Relogic changes this!
-
I'd love it if there was somehow a way to throw ammo directly like at 1:26 in normal gameplay, that animation and just the thought of it is pretty funny
-
Even though I understood different ammo flew at different speeds, I had no idea velocity was a stat in the game, for some reason.
-
I feel like some kind of ammo type with the specific special property of having a critical strike chance that applies additively to whatever weapon is using them could be pretty neat.

father has blessed us with yet another upload rahhh

om nom nom Infinite quiver is like infinite burgers :P

Ah I'm so happy to hear Stardew's winter soundtrack again, it's so calming....

because i told it to

I'm so glad ammo doesnt add crit chance. Getting max crit on ranged would be so much easier and it'd be insane. I think it be really cool if you modded this in to show how dumb it would be.
-
I thought ammunitions have their CC displayed as their chance to double the damage they give to the weapon when using said ammo, I guess I was wrong. Thanks for clearing it up, then!
-
Ok, listen... what if instead we had all ammo have hard unchangable 0% crit chance, then have special ammo types, hollow point bullet for example, that has some critical chance for having lower damage?
-
this could backfire due to communication with snowballs, in that if snowballs was the only item that showed it's crit stat a new player might think said crit chance uniquely added with the snowball canon
-
Snowballs can be used like projectiles even without the snowball canon
-
Now I just need to figure out how to make ammunition's crit chance actually do something...

I've been enjoying the more frequent uploads!
