13:44 Saudi Arabia is using air strikes recklessly?!?!? As Americans we've got to do something about that blatant appropriation of our culture!!!
  • This guy hosts his own show on HBO, is a cartoon voice over actor, and is also a tenured professor of anthropology at a community college... Wow John, just wow...

  • Saudi arabia- "We killed ten people brutally" USA- "We will take action against you." Saudi-"We need weapons worth 10 billion dollars to maintain peace." USA- "Here you go."
  • The fact that he doubled checked if the journalist was an american citizen to calculate how much compassion to give is really disgusting

As n iranian who knows Arabic, I admire the fact that John actually does his best pronouncing the names of prominent figures on the news

I've watched coverage of this from most of the major news outlets. They've all been asking the same question: "How did they think this wouldn't be noticed?" John Oliver is the first to air my first thought: this is done so obviously, they're clearly sending a message. And they know/think they can get away with it. - and he's a friggin' comedian, not a news reporter. Kudos John

Remember how we all swore this wouldn't get swept under the rug, and yet more or less business as usual continues.

John you have my respect. It needs courage to stand up for something

1 Year Later I miss John Oliver! It sucks that he went missing when he did that segment on the Prince of Saudi Arabia.

I am glad becoming a resident and pledging my allegiance to the united states does not guarantee the country will have my back.

That robot's smile looks exactly like Ivanka Trump's smile.

"he has emancipated women" this is exactly what emancipation DOESN'T mean

“Elvis trying to remember what Versailles looks like but can’t” is literally the funniest and most accurate description of the style of Trump’s home that I have ever heard. I can’t get over how good it is.

Just to clarify, the Mohammed joke in the beginning was based on the fact that the prophet Mohammed is typically not depicted anywhere out of respect for him, right?
