The way he manages to skip past a player so effortlessly is what's so impressive. Especially as he is a big lad, it just comes naturally to him. I think he's going to take his football to another level next season

Soon as I saw him last season I was shocked how cheap we got him he needed some time with the defensive press you could see guys gesturing to him But with the ball he just moves so solid and retains so well lovely shot smart runs

rodgers,, in his first 3 or so games he had 3 sights on goal and got 3 shots away on target,, i just knew he was going to nic a few goals,, and his game has really come on, the move into the center could well suit us and him but again that flexibility is so important over a long seaon,, he is far from the finished article but you just feel we bought a gem here

Given that we've continued to setup as 4-2-3-1 during pre-season so far, it appears that Rogers will be vying for the no. 10 position with McGinn. He's played every minute of his roughly 195 minutes in that position, albeit without McGinn being available yet. I see Ramsey and Philogene on the left, and Bailey and Buendia on the right. If (or when) Duran goes, it seems that Felix will be his replacement to share the centre forward role with Watkins. Given the players we have there is clearly a lot of interchangeability there though. I see Tielemans and Barkley as vying for the old Douglas-Luiz role further back, although when Kamara is fit again Onana could play alongside him and push forward. The squad is probably the best there's ever been in the modern era. UTV

Think Rodgers will be Villa’s breakout star. That is, by the end of this season he will be a full international and he’ll be linked with Chelsea and Real Madrid next summer for €100mill. But also super excited to see what Philogene can do. And, bizarrely, think I Barkley will be our best midfielder player.
