A Toyota Master Diagnostic Technician reviews the Lexus LC500 which a Total Hidden Gem.

In this video we look at the awesome 2022 Lexus LC500 which happens to be my of my favorite Lexus models out there.

This car is a total hidden gem that no one really talks about or considers. It is one of the few cars out there that does two opposite things very well.

On the one hand it is a very good sports car that makes a lot of power, handles very well and is very fun to drive. And on the other hand it is a comfortable smooth GT car.

In this video we'll do a full review of the 2022 Lexus LC500. We'll first cover the technical side of things. Then we'll look at the interior, exterior, take it for a test drive and talk about some things that are not good.

Toasted Carmel interior is amazing. When you drive it more the transmission adjusts to your driving style and becomes an equally beautiful thing

This guy likes the car and having owned my 2018 for almost four years, so do I. The couple of gripes he has boggled my mind. The steering column cover? I would have never thought that in a million years. The transmission for him wasn't to his liking. For me, it's sensational and has been the entire time I've been driving the car. This car is not expensive at all. In fact, it's way under-priced. It should sell in the $300k range, especially when you consider it's so much nicer than an Aston-Martin and will never leave you stranded by the side of the road waiting for a tow truck. The LC 500 is as close to a perfect car as there has ever been. It excels in every category that a mature human being would be concerned with. No, it isn't a race car but it is very fast. If you want something that will do 0-60 in 1.8 seconds, don't buy this car. You're an idiot and you should buy what other idiots buy. Idiots don't buy a Lexus. Go get that Ferrari or Lambo or some other hunk of junk that will cost $50,000 in repairs in the first 30,000 miles. Have fun with that! In the meantime, if you doubt me...then go check out an LC 500 for yourself. Once you do that, you will understand.
  • Stunning looks. Probably the last V8 normal aspirated reliable sporty car that can be used as a daily driver.
  • We tested a LC500 a few weeks back.. Why this car isnt more popular ill never know... AMAZING to drive and art to look at

I fell in love with the LC500 in 2019. My plan was to pick up one after 3-4 years when they would be really depreciated. Well, that plan didn’t work out!

I could never own that car, I would sit in my garage admiring it all day if I wasn't driving it.
  • It’s really a special car. I remember driving it a my Audi Dealership and thought that Lexus makes a car that Aston Martin, Maserati, and Bentley wishes they could make. The LC500 and the Mercedes Benz S class Coupe are my favorite coupes ever. I’d buy the Lexus, because it will last forever.
  • I've got a 2018 and still love the car. After four years, it's as nice now as it was back then. As for the transmission, mine works perfectly. It's a gem. What I do know is "reviewers" for the most part are too lazy to read the Owner's Manual and become familiar with the software. The LC 500 is programmable and has several driving modes including "CUSTOM". You can also set the "rev limiter" to your own preference. The paddle shifters work fantastic. Drive mode works best for me because I don't like to pretend I'm a hot shot race car driver but on those rare occasions when Manual is more fun, the paddle shifters work as they should. No offense, but you should read and learn the software. These are the finest cars on the market today without exception.

This guy is awesome! He explains details, good bad and ugly in a very constructive and informative way unlike Scotty who just screams on the camera..
  • I would buy a Lexus LC500 rather than a Porsche 911 as it is such a dynamic design, the V8 and is much more exclusive as a lot less of them sold and on the road.
  • @armedpreacher
This has been my dream car ever since I saw one at an auto show. I sat inside it and was absolutely blown away.
  • I have the 21 convertible in liquid platinum. Mine stays in the garage and only comes out on nice sunny days. It is amazing to drive.
  • @mollyz2581
My personal dream car! So glad you got a chance to review one.

There’s a guy in my neighborhood that just bought a car exactly like this and let me tell you until you see the paint depth in person it’s amazing the way Toyota paints their vehicles and put them together it’s still pretty amazing to me my father just got a notice in the mail on their pristine 2008 Highlander about paint quality issues with the pearl white or maybe it was blizzard white, but I wax their cars yearly for them and the Highlander only has 45,000 miles on it and both my parents are retired…
  • @jerrywarren2007
Really enjoyed this video. I have had my LC 500 convertible for a year and a half. When driving it you feel that nothing is wrong in the world (too bad that not true).
  • @steves7973
This car just seems to suit you perfectly, you could always have the steering column cover painted to match the interior. Stunning car !
  • @martinwtaylor
Thank you for the most informative LC500 video I have yet seen. I learned so much about the car and now I want one even more!

Hi AMD, now this is a Lexus this is what I first loved about Lexus QUALITY, a truly beautiful car one for the classic books one day for sure. That interior is fantastic and takes me back to the first Lexus I sat in and sank so comfortably into the drivers seat and went WOW. Ty for sharing this with us, i can now sit and dream to test drive one when they finally land here in Australia I doubt I would buy one as the money just isn't there for that but if able too I will try to beg for a test drive at least. Keep Safe Keep Strong Mate 🦘🦘🦘🦘🚗🚗🚗🚗
  • @anonemoose6121
Absolutely gorgeous. Wish I had the beans to go for the LC and that sweet NA V8, but that’s all the more motivation! Excellent walkthrough AMD!
  • Just purchased my 2024 Bespoke build LC Coupe. Upgraded with wireless Apple car play, front & 360 degrees cameras, touchscreen & other upgrades. Lexus made a great car even greater. For those in the know, this is the best car on the road. The engineering is amazing. People say Corvettes are faster but Corvettes are a different animal. The LC is a grand tourer & it’s very rare. There were almost 58,000 c8 corvettes produced in 2023. They are a dime a dozen. Only about 1,300 LC’s were made. Much more exclusive. I prefer to be different & not follow the crowd. This will be my forever car
