Just a quick tip video on how to install dust seal boots on your brake caliper. I struggled to find a video how to do this and found an easy way to do it so I’m sharing it with you. Nobody seemed to have any good information on this. The caliper is from a VW MK2 Polo and I’m refurbishing the brakes, but this will be the same on a lot of different car makes and models.

This is the first video I found that shows how to get the piston seal back on after removing it. I was struggling until I found this. Thanks for posting!

This is the best video that illustrates the proper method. It is counter-intuitive, as I was trying to install the dust shield into the caliper first. Thanks very much!!!

Unbelievable! I restored my first car 35 years ago, have saved countless callipers (usually stiff pistons due to rusted dust boot channel rust). Anyway, always struggled with the boots as had put boot in calliper first. Kept thinking I must be missing something, found this vid, tried it, works like an absolute charm. Thank you, thank you!

I puzzled this out myself a few years back after struggling for sometime. However, many thanks for posting.👍

Thanks for the upload! Accidentally popped mine out while doing brakes and rotors 😅 tried to force it with a flat head and the piston all the way down.. very helpful!

It’s an absolute ball ache of thing to do especially when attached on the car still. It’s infuriating to get the seal to sit on the caliper. I really need to get the caliper off the car in the future. Great video.

Did mine today, and was easy thanks to your video. I also got the repair kit from Big Red, excellent company to deal with, and quality kit. Thank you 👍
