One more little tidbit about Spongebob: Neptune, Roman god of the sea, dubbed him the god of fast food. Spongebob, ever humble, decided not to live in Atlantis or flaunt his title... but we never saw him renounce it or pass it to another, either. Technically, Spongebob is still the Roman god of fry cooking.

I love how you can sense the moment Wiz realized how mismatched the fight is gonna be when he goes "When he effortlessly rotated the... entire planet... huh."

The best part about Spongebob Squarepants is that, despite all these crazy feats, he's not "our god" but the adorable, all-loving fry cook at the Krusty Krab. Much respect.

"I'll prove it to you I'll be a real Super hero!" "I'll prove it to you I'll be a real Goofy goober!" Not gonna lie that line was ironically badass and the end is heartbreaking

Its actually really wholseome how Spongebob motivated Aquaman to keep fighting even when he began doubting himself. He even drew him a small memorial how sweet.

It's hilarious watching Wiz basically have a mental breakdown over how broken Spongebob's existence is. I don't think they even mentioned Spongebob's imagination. Granted, we don't SEE what happened in the box, but because he's already so broken, it would make perfect sense that it was all legit. Edit: WAIT A MINUTE. THE T.V.!!

Love the fact they realized that not only was that Aquaman the worst one but that he was straight up gonna die before the fight even occurred.

Boomstick saying, "he's about to die" is probably the funniest line in deathbattle.

Every time I see the ending I tear up. Everyone finds the gravestone funny, but I think thats spongebob being sincere. Plus, it reminds me of Stephen Hillenberg. Such a fun episode.

This might have been a death sentence for Aquaman, but these characters were wholesome until the end and I love that.
