Sam: He could have won this turn. Marik: it isn't about winning bro, it’s about sending a message
  • The lack of oxygen on top of that blimp must have affected marik and bakuras brains

Ah Bakura aka the final villain of DM Yu-Gi-Oh and never wins a major duel
  • In both the anime and Manga both these duels went very differently but had the same conclusion, if Bakura didn’t listen to Marik he would’ve won
  • "Don't you realize that i AM the Darkness?" has to be one of the chillest lines
  • The biggest misplay that occurs throughout all Mariks duels is that people keep trying to deal with the Winged Dragon of Ra and/or use it against him. Bakura and Mai were more focused on using Ra rather than using their own strategies to win.
  • This duel happened in the manga, but only lasted six turns. Bakura added Ra to Marik's hand with Dark Designator, then made him discard it with Multiple Destruction before doing his Puppet Master play. On his next turn, Marik drew Monster Reborn and revived Ra to defeat Bakura.

Marik forgot what Pot of Greed does.

The duel did happen in the manga, but there are few things to consider: 1)Bakura could have played the DB, but in the manga, it required Dark Necrofear to be on the grave, which would be a pain to do. 2)Bakura planned to send Ra to the grave, instead of summoning it himself, not knowing it's other abilities. With this, he used Dark Designator to send Ra to Marik's hand and then Multiple Destruction to send Ra to the grave. Then he summoned Puppet Master to special summon the 3 monsters to attack Marik in the next turn and go for game, however Marik draws his own Monster Reborn, summons Ra and uses it's ability to give 3999 attack points to (he didn't lose a single lp in the manga) it and finishes off Bakura. We don't know what cards were on Marik's hand, but let's just assume his hand was all bricks and he had to summon Ra to win

18:00- “One Turn Kill” is the true name of the Instant Attack or point to point transfer in the Japanese version. It’s suppose to symbolized that with this effect, the Wing Dragon Of Ra has the power to basically wipe you out in one turn. The name instant Attack in the English dub was probably just 4kids trying to avoid saying the word Kill, so the name was changed. This is also why the name of the episode is called “One Turn Kill.” It’s about explaining this secret ability of Ra I guess. Hope this helps.
  • This should have been the point where Diabound was introduced as the alternate boss monster of Bakura, instead of it popping up out of nowhere in the final arc and being treated like it was always part of the story.
  • @Misclickt
Yami Marik: Summons Ra to his field. Good Marik: Don't worry mate, it's got 0 atk points. Bakura: Yeah, we can still wi- Yami Marik: Starts chanting Ancient Egyptian. Good Marik & Bakura: 👁👄👁
  • I find it genuinely hillarious that, if Bakura hadn't tried so hard to mill through Yami Marik's deck, Yami Marik would have literally never have drawn the Winged Dragon of Ra throughout the ENTIRE Duel.

The only misplay Yami Bakura did was stole Joey's creepy chin
  • This is probably the worst bakura duel in the entire series. Why can't they do my boy some justice
  • Fun fact: In the manga, Destiny Board requires Dark Necrofear to be in the Graveyard to work. While we're on the subject, Dark Necrofear's summon in the manga requires three fiend monsters to be destroyed in attack mode within (I think) 5 turns, which explains Bakura's duel with Yugi a little better.

  • Bakura:Okay he knows my strategy. I'll just play a new startegy. Good Marik:Good idea. There's no way he'll be able to handle you now. Bad Marik then proceeds to handle it throughout the entire duelI Bakura:....I've realized I've nade a huge mistake. Good Marik:Well it can't get worse Bad Marik:*merges with Ra and makes it even stronger* Bakura:....any more comments from the peanut gallery? Good Marik:...use the Celt- Bakura:I swear to Zorc I will make sure to haunt your ass for this!

The main issue is that players in the anime often over-think their strategies when they're faced with someone who is apparently prepared for their strategies.  A better example of what to actually do in this situation (for both sides) is Jaden vs. Bastion, when Bastion just turns off Polymerization with Cursed Seal. We know that between Wroughtweiler and Fusion Recovery, Jaden's deck is super reliant on Polymerization, and that the likelihood of playing more than one Fusion Gate is low since he doesn't often side deck and he has little reason to with all the ways to recycle Polymerization he has. Plus, Miracle Fusion hadn't been released yet, so another thing to justify why he couldn't play around it.
  • Not gonna lie, when I’m fairly confident I’m about to win a duel, I sometimes think to myself: ‘It’s my turn and the final turn of the duel!’ 😂
