This is a style of video I might make more of in the future if you all want more (and assuming I actually can think of stuff to build!) - three smaller structures that you can use within your larger builds.

In this video I'll show you how to make staircases, turret emplacements and that guard tower you saw in my Sunshine Tidings tour.

  • @CAMBIN0
8 years later and it’s still gold thanks man
  • I still haven't found Shaun.... I don't know if I ever will get around to it. What with 25 cities to run, hundreds of settlers to feed, clothe and arm, my job as a pending Brotherhood Knight to scrupulously avoid, and my Railroad secret agent missions to carry out. Seems the entire commonwealth will collapse if I stop for five minutes to do something I want! Sole survivor my ass, more like sole worker ;-)
  • I have watched all your tutorials and have come to the conclusion that you sir, are a genius. A benevolent one at that. Many thanks.
  • @LordUzaki
Loving these smaller videos. It's a nice way to see a detailed explanation into how you built some of the smaller things that you normally can't justify for a let's build. However I may suggest taking these and making them into a separate series and perhaps keeping the guides for some of the unique exploits/tricks you can do to help build settlements. (Aka, rug glitch, fixing sanctuary houses, indoor wiring, power usage help, ect...)
  • you seriously just solved the three problems I was having with my current settlement with one video. Fucking amazing
  • I like your single tip videos and I like your triple tip videos. You just keep pumping them out and I'll keep watching them all.
  • I think that making some videos on some small little settlement details, like this video, would be an awesome idea. These types of videos really help me build. Thanks norespawns!
  • @skuldug1
really liking this format, and hey at least it was a bit less cold in London than yesterday
  • I stumbled across this video, earlier this afternoon, whilst innocently scouring Google Images for solid watchtower designs. The sun is now setting and I'm still binge-watching and re-watching your tutorials. In addition, I fear my original project of contructing a couple of modest guard posts will no longer satisfy me. Now I'm just itching to spend the rest of my night/week refurbishing my entire settlement, instead of mustering the attention necessary to finally finish the storyline! So, thanks for that xP Also: I find your directions and demonstrations to be delightfully clear and concise. You've created a great collection of tutorials on your channel, and I appreciate it ^^
  • I started playing FallOut 4 again just because of your videos. These are really good.
  • @andsolid
Three great concepts, one great video, and a solid new format that you can use between your larger let's build vids for when you want to show something more intricate, but don't want to make a full 25-30 minute vid.
  • I think this is nice, maybe not every build video, but spaced out here and there. It allows people to take in your style, in manageable pieces. Thank you Davey
  • Rug glitch was the best thing I ever learnt for base building haha. has added a whole new dimension to settlements for me. That and the size glitch. Being on PC I can make some monsterous settlements now. Awesome series by the way.
  • 2021 and im still learning valuable stuff about Fallout 4! Here comes my first full Minutemen good guy Rebuild all settlements playthrough
  • I like these vids next to the let's builds. So you have the opportunity to combine these two in your settlement. Good job!
  • I think that the idea of tossing three linked builds per episode would be a good way to break up the site building episodes, and it would show how you built each area in little tutorial chunks for those of us who are aesthetically challenged. Side note, after watching your videos, I deleted all my old saves and restarted with a better settlement plan in mind, and spent more time on each settlement to get them just right. The rug glitch works on PC fully updated, I can attest to that since I have used it, as well as the powerline through walls glitch. It would be an excellent idea to make a build/tour video, even several for larger settlements, and then before moving on to the next one, put in all the little ideas, tips and tricks used to make it, using say sanctuary as a scale model representation area. As with all my ideas, feel free to use or ignore them as you wish. Have fun, and have a great day!
  • Your thousand woods makes me want to cry. Thanks for your videos they're really helpful. Successfully re-roofed and re-floored 1 house on sanctuary. Lol
