I find it ironic how back in the day we used the term arcade to describe a game designed to eat your money and nowadays the term arcade is used to describe games that aren’t designed to eat your money.

Achievements in Apple games have been a thing since 2010. September of 2010 is when Apple introduced "Game Center" which is the universal achievement system Apple uses for games on their platforms.

Sonic Dream Team takes me back to the Rush days, when the handheld Sonic games managed to outdo the home console entries with creativity, ingenuity, and amazing game design.

I noticed that you can get more stable framerates, if you set the AppleTV to 1080p when gaming. It doesn't downsample, but actually render them in 1080p instead, like on a computer.

You know, with how widely hated microtransactions are you'd think the fact that Apple Arcade doesn't have them would get spread out more widely.

Out of curiosity, I looked up the voice cast of TMNT: Splintered Fate. Leonardo is voiced by his 3rd VA from the 2012 series, but he's the only reprise. Yuri Lowenthal voices Mikey, Dale Inghram is Donnie, and Roger Craig Smith is Raphael. Other VAs include Dawn Bennett (Nobody), Melanie Minichino (April), Ben Lepley (Casey), Matthew Yang King (Shredder) and Gwendoline Yeo (Karai).

The only thing I can say for Apple Arcade is when you have a free trial don’t cancel it even if it says it will still work after the cancellation it won’t it will end it right there on the day you end it.

I say this with no hyperbole, Sonic Dream Team is the closest thing we’ve received resembling a Sonic Adventure 3. It’s so good, and easily the best Sonic I’ve played this year.

I have Apple Arcade since it’s launch (it’s part of AppleOne) and it’s a really great service! John, don’t know if you tried the following la but if not, you should definitely give them a try: - Grindstone - What the car? - What the golf? - Shovel Knight Dig - Monument Valley 1 & 2 - Bleak Sword And don’t forget that those fantastic games are also available on the service: - Dead Cells - Slay the Spire - Gris - Thumper

One Apple Arcade game I absolutely loved to play back when I got a 1 month subscription was Pinball Wizard. Seems like there’s a way bigger selection there now than when I was subbed though~

Castlevania: Grimoire of Souls is definitely worth playing for the lore. It's a wet dream just seeing characters from all the different eras of the franchise interact with each other. I'm actually trying to gather people to pester Konami into porting it to either consoles or Steam so others may experience it.

Thank you for this video! I have been skeptical about the Apple Arcade after recently hearing about it and seeing the 3 months offer. After this video it made me relaxed and open to signing up for it lol. Great video. I’m excited to play that 2k and turtles game!

While I have all the latest consoles, I still end up using my AppleTV or stream my phone to my TV for Apple Arcade. Its just great for quick dips in and out of games, where I use my consoles for longer deeper experiences...
