Today I want to show you how to make brown rice on the stove. This recipe is relatively easy, and brown rice can be super cheap. This recipe will give you loads of filling rice. The recipe has only a few steps and takes about 35 minutes to make.

When compared to the faff of putting together the instant pot, and waiting for the instant pot to come up to heat, this recipe takes approximately the same amount of time.

Rice to water ratio 2 parts water to 1 part rice.

  • Love your videos, I enjoy the lack of nonsense. Your videos aren't bloated with unnecessary stuff but they're not too fast and short so you can follow.

Great recipe, but one big mistake. You mentioned 1.5 tablespoons, but it should definitely be 1.5 teaspoons of salt. I found this out the hard way lol. Other than that the recipe works perfect as long has you add teaspoon salt and not tablespoon. Thx again!

Didn't know about that low heat. Thanks thanks a lot. I have a very physical job now and brown rice is good for what I call arrow power. Yang , man !

Just stumbled upon your channel (Cola video popped up for me). I'm glad you're still making videos. Going through your older ones right now. What better way to pass the time when confined than cooking? Thanks again.

Wow! You made that nice and easy. I will try it tomorrow. Thanks so much!
  • Great video, but make sure to rinse your brown rice before cooking! It contains arsenic material and can cause great harm to you over time if not rinsed properly

Agreed the lack of nonsense is great! Do you need to use a pot with holes in the lid as you do in the video?

I did the two cups water to 1 cup rice and it was too wet. Maybe it depends on the Dutch you are using.
