I love Macaque's relationship with MK. He initially purely intends to manipulate MK, but then seems to really start to sympathise with him. While he jokes about being MK's teacher, he is always trying to push him. He attacks him, but it's almost like he wants MK to fight back. To get him stronger. And when MK is genuinely struggling, such as torturing himself about LBD, Macaque just backs off. I think he sees a lot of himself in MK. Someone in the shadow of the Monkey King. And maybe he feels his old friendship with Wukong in there somewhere, and misses that.

I never realised just how much stronger Wukong is until I watched Macaque try to fight a possessed him. In ever other fight Wu held back but I never realised just how much. Macaque had zero chance in that fight. He was on defence on the entire thing and Lady probably wasn't using his whole effort on it because she was having trouble keeping him under control.

I’m not sure if Wukong killed Macaque. Cause Wukong never said nor acted like he did anything like that in the first place. I don’t think he knew he was dead. Maybe someone pretend to be Wukong into tricking Macaque into becoming a villain
