The old fireplace was likely 1950/60s, not very aesthetically pleasing. I will look to replace it with a Victorian or Edwardian one when I can afford it. Turns out most of the ones on Ebay need to be picked up and I don't have a car.

It turns out that 'Likes/Dislikes' and 'Shares' actually help the channel so, if you want to, please click the thumbs up or share the video.

I don't have a Patreon or a regular donate thingy, I get by fine. That said, if you are mega rich and fancy buying me a coffee, breadboards or CMOS ICs - paypal.me/DavidWattsYT
or if you fancy donating something I would find useful then feel free to check out my Amazon wishlist (No pressure) - www.amazon.co.uk/registry/wishlist/29JZFQUC2NZ8V

I put lots of my favourite products and stuff that helps me make video up on this Amazon page - www.amazon.com/shop/davidwatts It is one of those affiliate things.

If you want to get in contact Twitter is probably the best way @mrdavidjwatts

What I like about the NRF24L01 is the simplicity and low power demand unlike, say, an esp8266 which needs to have a specific wifi network available. I switched broadband provider recently and discovered that the new router required the ssid to be at least 8 characters, effectively killing off a network which had been used by a slew of my nerdy gadgets for years. A 10 minute router swap turned into two days of finding code and reprogramming devices. That mask is a good choice; they're so much more comfortable than the disposable ones and keep way more of the bad stuff out.

Appreciate the update. Get an SDS drill, it'll speed things up!

hope you are doing well beyond being exhausted by the demolition. had to build a new open kitchen in a 1898 barack from emperor Wilhelm 2nd or the bavarian king. tough experience, but beautifull at the end after 3 months. Plaster sounds good and your diy. it is easy , but lot of work

I use those really cheap ($4 each) xiaomi Bluetooth low energy sensors. They get several months off a CR2032
  • That fireplace is from the Art Deco to 1950/60's style- it was popular throughout this period , as for the bricks No idea.

.... Well done Mate, big job. At the rear of the fireplace I saw Jack the Ripper's supermarket loyalty card. Could be worth something, (Check expiry date).
  • Eliminate the fireplace, install a Wood Stove, burning wood for twenty years, become self reliant , get away from the power co.

Only thing I didn't sign up for is the #shorts that I can't watch, so you can make clever "unsub if you don't like it" titles all you like I can't see the video. Shorts are shite, no volume control, no ability to replay parts witch is important for me because I have cognitive issues and need to replay bits of videos really often, just tapping left cursor one or twice is enough but with shorts you HAVE TO WATCH THE WHOLE THING AGAIN. You don't have to upload as a short if its a short video, it makes no difference other than #shorts is crap and doesnt work for a lot of people.
