Tom meets up with his good friend Geoff Hacker once again. Geoff shows off a very unique race car transporter custom built back in the late 1950’s by some California hot rodders. Most notably, it was used to transport Jim Hall's Chaparral 1 race car to Riverside Raceway in the 1960s. Tom and Geoff then head to a storage unit containing a 1948 Packard Super Eight Convertible, previously owned by a drug dealer. While there's a lot to be done on both vehicles, Geoff is motivated to restore both of them to their former glory.

Hauler has been sitting for 12-years all of a sudden he's going to get the motivation to start a 3-year project to restore it? Oh and then there's the Packard too. Guy looks at least 50 years old, we all think we have more time left than we actually do...

Fun show! Much respect to Mr. Hacker. Those restorations look... non-trivial

Love that Packard That is one wild looking transporter
  • It is so smooth and silent as it moves in and out of it's berth! I really want to see her when she's done. These old cars were so beautiful and an art form all their own. Thanks for sharing.

Those old post war Packards like that we used call elephant Packards because of the shape & size. When I was in grade school in the 1960's an older couple down the street had a '48 convertible. He was a retired engineer so they had had money at one time and the story was he bought it new and as it turned out kept it till he died.

Nice touch on the "Watch" and "Subscribe" buttons- flashing and clicking like old school turn signal indicators! Sweet.

Wow! You come up with some really cool stuff and the people to with it. Always interesting, never predictable.

Definitely one of the best shows on YouTube. I have enjoyed every episode. And I always seem to learn something new, no matter what vehicles are featured. Really well-done.
