Jon Blondell is one of the most recognizable names in the Austin music scene. He has garnered fame and success that reaches not only across the U.S., but worldwide. Known for his pyrotechnic abilities on the trombone and electric bass, Jon has become a leading figure in the Austin music scene. Jon has performed with everyone from Willie Nelson to Sublime and countless other world class artists. His album credits look like a music hall of fame roster. It’s doubtful a day goes by that you don’t hear Blondell’s talents on someone’s hit single or some commercial advertisement. His recording discography includes not only sideman credits on many jazz, blues and country records plus scores of radio and television commercials, but perhaps the best known and most influential trombone solo in rock music since the early 70’s - the multi-platinum hit “The Wrong Way” by Sublime.
