"My engine compartments are usually immaculate so I apologize" proceeds to open an engine compartment cleaner than 90% of all road cars today
  • @Gr8Layks
Jay could've edited out the unloading foibles, but he elected to keep it real. >>RESPECT<<
  • @UncleDoug
"The ramp is collapsing" (beneath my million-dollar Mercedes race car), spoken as if commenting on the weather. Jay is truly a class act. Thanks so much for your down-to-earth attitude, and for sharing your fabulous car collection with us.

As a Brit I have only seen glimpses of his other life as a comedian and talk show host. I'm really impressed with Jay's reverence and respect for the great engineers, designers and renovators who dedicate their lives to creating and restoring these wonderful historic vehicles. Jay comes across as a genuine guy who sees himself as curator and custodian of some of the worlds most coveted vehicles. The result is a very watchable series, like a book I just can't put down!

I get the feeling Jay is specifically using these videos as a future preservation tool. One day sadly Jay will be gone, and his cars auctioned off (hopefully on many decades). You KNOW that each of these videos will be played with the car, and will be treasured by the future owner. It's almost like Jay is speaking directly into the future.

Kinda cool is an understatement. This transporter is one of the cooler cars I've seen.

13:34 I want to be as calm as Jay is when he's scratching his 2 million dollar car for a YouTube video. Even if he's super rich he felt that because he's a real car guy.

You should let Microsoft scan this for the “Forza Series!”
  • @jaywest4102
Jays voice and tempo changed after the long scrape on the car. Played it of well, but you know he's crying a little on the inside.

I watch these videos every week and I see all these negative comments making fun of Jay and making fun of other commenters and it really kind of makes me mad. He doesn't have to share these things with us. It's not like he needs the fame and I bet with production costs this channel is only breaking even. We even get to see things when they don't go perfect. So if you're the kind of person who likes to leave angry comments, do what you got to do. But please take a second to stop appreciate all the hard work Jay’s team goes through so we can appreciate the vehicles and the people who made them.

Jay is so calm & genuinely loves to share his vehicles with us the Blue Collar public..thank you Jay
  • @TheJorgern
I'm a tow truck driver. Seeing it get scratch 😱. Love your videos and awesome truck.
  • What an amazing honor it must be for the man that originally built it (RIP) for it to be kept in this condition with as much care and love being put into it as when he first built it. Good job Jay
  • I'm sure he was cringing from that scrape that they put on the underside of the gullwing, but it was neat seeing him give the "no big deal". That's one of the big reasons why I admire him and his shop and all these videos he shares - he drives and uses his stuff, doesn't just polish and stare at them. That scrape just adds to the patina. Thanks for sharing this Jay.

Engineer: how long do you want the front overhang to be? Merc: Yes
  • @cerealkilla8930
Whether or not you like Jay, think he's funny, appreciate his work, style of entertainment, etc. you have got to love his love for cars.
  • @sotohc96
This is probably one of the best episodes recently.
  • @firmitas68
Jay is so old school, God bless him. Shows us a photo album of a vintage reconstruction of an esoteric truck instead of some slick PowerPoint presentation of the latest model and with his "Grandpa glasses," still finds time to throw a dig at Netflix..
  • @chrisdugas1226
Looks like the finished product if you asked Dr. Seuss to design a flatbed.
  • @JStryker7
It's really special seeing how much effort was put into making this. The guy may be gone but what he created with his love and passion is still here.
