The worst part watching this is knowing that this was early morning and every one of those buildings were completely full of people as they collapsed. 16,000 is way too many people to lose in an earthquake in the 21st century. It's horrible, my heart goes out to everyone. The world is in dire need of a break from war, disease, and disaster.

Watching these buildings implode is incredibly scary. Courage and stamina to the rescuers and hope and tenacity to those trapped in the rubble. Comfort and condolences to those who have lost loved ones and their homes.

As a Turkish person, I than for all the support but after 8 months we are still trying to save people and rebuilding the areas. We have been praying to God that we will save as much as people as possible. But we are much better thank you..

As a syrian, that was indeed terrifyingly horrible. We thought that no one would help us and we will be erased from the world by this earthquake. But turns out that many countries still care ❤️ Yet, many scouts in Damascus are volunteering to help allepo and homs and other damaged areas ☺️
