  • I'm an older student (age 54) in the LPC program (UNT-Dallas), and I've found that I learn just as well in my online classes as I do in my in-person classes. I actually prefer on-line because I can concentrate better with less distractions.
  • You’re a God send. I’m enrolling for an MFT program soon. I spoke to NCU yesterday, and I really enjoyed my conversation with the admissions advisor. I didn’t know you went to NCU when I found your channel, but seeing this video is confirmation for me to enroll. So crazy! Thanks so much for the information. 🙏🏾❤️
  • Thanks for this video!!! I'm looking to start at NCU soon and it's refreshing to see the "look" of NCU from a student's perspective.
  • I very recently looked at NCU and was reluctant to see that they were COAMFTE Accredited. Your channel was literally a breath of fresh air when I found your videos discussing many topics about the school. I watched your videos prior to knowing you attended NCU, so I am very excited to join the program. Definitely will book an appointment with you cause girl, we need to chat!! Thank you so much for your content and I love seeing you thrive the way that you have!
  • I started the NCU MFT program in August 2020 and am loving it. Another pro is the option to take one class at a time or overlap classes. I have opted to take one class at a time because I work full time and was planning my wedding, now buying a house, etc. I love that flexibility. I also appreciated the scheduling having no semesters because I got to start my program right away instead of waiting for the next semester after applying to begin. This also helped with student loans because I was only charged after starting each class which meant my student loan only accumulated interest on a principal for classes I had already taken and not the entire program. Love this school so far and love your channel for such helpful info!!!

Thank you so much for sharing. I am currently enrolling into the DMFT program. I was nervous at first but thanks to your videos I am feeling more confident.
  • I was debating NCU vs Liberty and this was confirmation! And you're right online programs are frown upon which sucks but I prefer online. Thanks so much for sharing your experience! :)
  • I’m so glad you made this video! I’m looking to do a masters in counseling online. And I’m worried about what course loads, and the functions of it will be.
  • Thank you for being such a wonderful example of our Alumni. I have taught in the MAMFT program full time for 10 years and many of our new students mention you and your videos as one of the ways they found out about NCU. Congrats on all of your success and we are all very proud of you!

Aw. Thank you for sharing your story. I recently graduated with my masters MFT and omg I can relate! What a journey! I had a full time job as a Security supervisor in the day time, went to class at night, did my internship in afternoons/weekends and being a single mom. I have no idea how I managed. Thank you sharing your experience of taking online classes. I want to go back to school in the future to further my education and I’m considering online. It’s actually better because of time management. 😀
  • Steph, your videos are SO helpful! I am currently an undergrad student (majoring in Family Studies) trying to scope out good options for graduate MFT programs. Thank you for being so honest in your assessment of pros and cons, I really appreciate it! Finding a good graduate program is such an intimidating thought to me but I feel like I have a personal mentor helping me through this channel! Keep up all the amazing work, I really appreciate it!
  • Hi Stephanie! I enjoy watching your YouTube videos and thank you so much for sharing all these info! I’m applying to NCU this month and please wish me luck (:
  • This is where I go! MFT program, 6 courses in. Thank you. Grateful that I found you!!
  • I’ve been waiting for this video! Thanks for the great info! I have my interview with NorthCentral next week 🤞🏽
  • So I just wanted to say that I had researched some of your videos to find out about how to become a MFT. Then I took the next step in researching some schools and ran across the issue of not seeing many schools that were COAMFTE accredited. NCU was one of the schools that reached out to me and we talked for like an hour and a half. Then I came across another one of your videos (NCU FAQ), and this one that you did. I was leaning towards NCU but I think you have pretty much helped me seal the deal with going to NCU now. Thanks for your vlogs and I look forward to seeing more.
  • Hey Steph Anya! I know NCU has to be great if you're speaking so highly of it. Congratulations on all you've accomplished! Another great video!
  • Hi Steph, thank you for so much information and that great energy you provided with this video. I am 58 and this is something I really want to do, but I have been extremely hesitant in moving forward. One because of my age and two because it's been a while since I've had class; and OH! lets not forget about the money... I will be filling out my application and definitely watching your videos. God bless you my beautiful sister.
  • Capella University Scholar here, I'm currently 2 Internships away from graduating with my Master's degree.
  • This is super helpful. I am contemplating the online degree due to other priorities that also take time and effort. I will check out NCU too. The internship scares me a bit but it is something I can search for in advance too. Thanks for sharing your experience with us!!
