My love of bowie has existed since childhood, my mum played him every chance she got. Very nostalgic for me. Love him
  • One of my numerous favourite Bowie songs. He was decades ahead with his brilliant musicality, diverse, unique, theatrical performances and lyrics. What a legacy for the world!
  • 8 years without David Bowie❤️😭🕊 January 8th 1947 - January 10th 2016

Easily my favorite Bowie, for the transitions alone...."take a look at the / LAWWW-man, beating up the wrong guy / OHHH-man", and particularly the way his voice cracks and slides over the rising-and-falling "mars" each time...so many producers and performers, then AND now, would never have left an 'imperfection' like that remain, let alone HIGHlight it

Rest in Peace Ziggy Stardust. For this year 2016 has tooken so many idols.
  • 3:12 gets me every time. The way the strings descend, it gives me chills. This is one of Bowie's best.

"Mickey Mouse has grown up a cow." Now that's evolution.

One of the great geniuses of English music, up there with the Beatles, Led Zep, Clapton and the Stones.

Una de las mejores canciones del siglo XX

Rick Wakemans piano is so impassioned and heartfelt. Meshes so well with Ronsons string arrangement. Beautiful
  • I can’t stop listening to this song, it gives me chills and makes me feel calm but on the edge of my seat
  • One of the best songs ever made, if not my favorite by David Bowie. I love this magical song more and more especially because I have fantastic memories of it. Bowie has never ceased to amaze us with his beautiful music!

This is my favorite Bowie song. Everything about it is top notch. The lyrics, the instrumentals, the vocals, everything!

man it really sucks that none of us will be able to go to a bowie concert ever again
  • I love the story this tells. I think of it as a kid being rejected by her parents when she wants to play because their busy, not necessarily neglectful, and then she watches all this mesmerizing but violent tv shows and movies. She then grows up to be a movie mogul where she is successful, but now watching real life violent events. She makes good money reproducing this violence, but even though her life seems happy, she is bored of this life she has created and wants to escape.

Never loved this song until I watched the TV show Life on Mars and this gives it a whole new meaning. I like it now. Ziggy Stardust will always be a favorite of mine.
