Awesome Timelapses from Rehman Siddiq

We do not recommend that you try this without properly information yourself first and informing the people around you that you are doing this... But Matt decided to challenge his mental and physical endurance by fasting for 5 days straight. After reading about the benefits of fasting, he wanted to try it and see how he'd do. Here's what happened.

Hope you enjoy seeing Matt going through this insane mental and physical journey.. For those who are interested, www.seekdiscomfort.com/ is still available for a few more weeks. Much love!
  • I did a 5 days fast twice, an incredible experience. The apple that I ate at the end of the fast was something out of this world.
  • I did 7 days fast before. Day three. My body was detoxing. Horrible taste in my mouthm. Day 4 headache. Five was easy 6 showed my strength. 7 was hardest because I knew my fast was coming to an end. Benefits. Weight loss. Better skin. Blessings

"you have to force yourself to lack things...otherwise you won't appreciate..." I like that

I did 10 days only water. Stayed away of cigarettes, sugar, fats, coffee, beer and everything. The first 4 days where like hell but on day 5 I started to realize how amazing a human body can compensate everything. Just reading books, drinking water and sleep whenever my body needs it. People thought I am 18 years old when I met them after my fastening but no I am in my mid 30s. Skin clear, no problems with irritations anymore, crystal clear mind and no need for domesticated drugs. It changed my perspective and I love it. Doing it once a year just to feel the same amazement and to see the benefits again.
  • I know this video's a few years old but it did inspire to just do a 72 hour fast. It honestly went a lot better than I thought it would. The second day was definitely the hardest. And today, the final day, I felt like Matt did when he was on top of the roof. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU for the inspo to seek discomfort and do a really amazing personal challenge

It's like watching buzzfeed but with no guilt

I tried to go for 7 days and ended up breaking after only 4, crazy experience and I’ll try again to get 7 next time. The reason I quit was because I had work and school, and I couldn’t focus on my school. It really changed my perspective on food ever since, and I’m finally approaching the weight that I want to have.

I've been fasting every year (for Ramadan) since I was 7, and my sharpest mental attitude and focus peaks when I'm fasting. It took me a while to appreciate it, and now I look forward to it every year.

I love how this wasn't centered around the physical effects like his weight or his body but rather his mindset and mentality
  • @sonofakar9098
I once fasted for 13 hours It was because of sleeping
  • @fhincey
I'm currently on my final day of my 3 days water fast for religious purposes and I feel so comforted watching this and relating with you so much. Sleeping is really the hardest part...

LOVED seeing Dr. Jason Fung in this! I've watched so many of his videos on fasting/intermittent fasting!

Him counting the days to hours “tonight I’ll be hitting about 36hours.....” reminds me of when I’d be home alone detoxing from heroin, counting, counting and re-counting the hours until my 7th day. (Because that’s when “they” say the worst of withdrawals are over.) I’m so glad those days are over!! A little over 2 years sober today☺️ Good job to this guy!! I can’t imagine how difficult this was! And to anybody suffering, there is a better, beautiful life out there literally JUST WAITING FOR YOU!!! One day at a time. 😘😘
