Alderaan: explodes, thousands of voice cry out in terror “Oh, no..” Malachor V: “You have much to learn.” breaks the Force, and creates a slew Sith Edit: so glad I got 107 comments. Thank you!
  • And after all of the battles we have seen or heard of from the entire series for one battle in particular to stand out, that’s quite an accomplishment.
  • @Fleechin
The really hard part about Malachor was having to wait to heal myself back to health every 10 minutes, those battles were impossible

“I still remember that final battle in the skies above Malachor V. The two fleets filling the space around it, outshining the stars.” - Te Taylir Mand'alor (Canderous Ordo)
  • You mentioned the fact that Revan's fleet was delayed by Mandalorian scout ships, however this may have actually been a lie set by Revan himself. As you said Revan wanted to destroy any not loyal to him, however he couldn't outwardly do this, so in order to accomplish both goals of extermination and conversion, he purposely delayed his fleet manned by only those loyal to him. With the events that took place in the battle, this had the desired effect of having Meetra Surik perhaps his biggest obstacle, fire the mass shadow generator. Not only did this have the desired effect of killing most that would stand in his way, but it made Surik powerless as she had to cut herself off from the force to survive. Now most will argue this is a simple theory however it does have some ground especially with the interactions between the player, Bao-Dur, and most importantly Canderous.

The lore of Malachor, and ancient Sith in general, has always fascinated me. How a Force Wound and a Dark Side Nexus combine to create a nightmare world. Makes me wonder what would happen if the Yuuzhan Vong came across such a world? Or even across Sith Spawn, the product of sith alchemy? This only makes me think of a crossover between Star Wars Legends and Warhammer 40k. Mainly, Our "protagonist" leads a force of sith across the ages, and in an attempt to weaken the 40k galaxy, seek Darkside nexus and cause battles near them, then use mass shadow generators. How bad would the 40k galaxy be messed up? Probably just another day.

Always had chills when listening to Bao Dur, Canderous or Kreia talking quietly of the horrors that took place on Malachor, while aboard the Ebon Hawk
  • @DarkKing009
HK-47 theorizes that apart from defeating the mandalorians, Revan's plan of using the Mass Shadow Generator at Malachor V had another purpose. That perhaps constructing a strategy that involved the death of Jedi, specifically Jedi that didn't support Revan completely, was no accident.

Ultimate Sigma Nihilus was on the job again! He was the epitome of a dark sider
  • KotoR 1 was a great game, following the formular of a powerful Sith Lord with a Super station which you have to destroy to win in the end. But beyond that great KotoR 2 though.... it used the mythology of the Force overall to create a nightmare, almost otherworldly horror which was Malachor V. And the more you think about it, it truely shows what terror evil and war can bring in the Star Wars galaxy (and in our world, but that is besides the point) When I first played the game, I didn'T get it, I was like 11? I did not understand a lot of the detail and threads going on, but now I see it and it makes this game such a great story, it own story in the Star Wars univers, but still a faithful sequel to great game that was KotoR and surpassed it. And to what other planet I might want to see here? Well Ziost is so often mentioned as the capital of the first Sith Empire, but I barely know about it, so that would be my suggestion: Ziost and also thank you for your awesome videos Geetsly's
  • @zexalbrony4799
Well, I did say I wanted more videos on Battles and you delivered with one of the greatest and most influential battles in Star Wars history.
  • @goldeagle6431
The Senate needs no guide to explain his true power.
  • @LordWyatt
All it takes is one bad day…. -Revan, probably
  • Have you done a video about how the Yuuzhan Vong destroyed so much life in their home galaxy that the Force itself cut their entire species away from it?
  • Do a video on force witches and other dark side cults. That would be cool.
  • @brydon5721
The weight of all that death and loss on her shoulders makes the Exile a great character, I just hope she's brought into the canon at some point--hers would be a great story to tell over a trilogy of films or live action series.
  • @andorwid1880
Whenever i hear stories like this i think to myself: "hm, I have a nice idea for a book based on that" Shame I lack the will to actually write them. But it's ok, given that no one would read them
  • @neetard7360
So basically the mass shadow generator was the star wars equivalent to the castle bravo disaster with a few notable exceptions, damn...
