Get white vinegar.Soak your rusty items in it. If your items are large like hedge scissors,wrap them in kitchen roll saturate with vinegar and wrap with clear plastic film or put it in bag. Easy cheap extremely effective cheers!

I use oxalic acid, it comes in powder form, just mix with water and soak. Had an ancient adjustable spanner I got from my grandad that was seized with rust and it brought it back to life.

It actually does what it says on the tin! I've had some for years. You absolutely can re-use it again and again. It is totally safe. The only thing is the price, but seeing as it is so effective , it is totally worth it.

An impressive product but expensive compared to commonly available cheap and safe citric acid (which isn't just good at cleaning limescale from your kettle with 2-3 boils and a teaspoon full). To remove rust just stir a handful of citric acid in bucket of warm/hot water and then place your rusted items in overnight. They will require little more than a light brushing. Really bad rust can be soaked again for another night. Hydrochloric acid (usually sold as 5-10% in patio cleaner) is quickest but items have to be neutralised immediately afterwards, and also gives off fumes that attack surrounding metal work and causes rust. I removed the rust from inherited tools and use them regularly. It is a great feeling to have cleaned up and protected, never mind use your grandfather/great-grandfather's tools.

A cheaper rust removal solution with just as good results can be gotten from citric acid powder in water - very safe to use, cheap and effective. lots of vids on YT about doing it.

I like your channel and appreciate the content you post. I have seen this product used quite a bit on YouTube videos from the US. I am from the US, retired now and living in Portugal. I have not seen this product anywhere locally, did not know it was available in the EU. Would you please post a link to where you purchased it?

Is there something you can recommend to treat/remove the rust on a bathroom electric tower raidiator, please? Obviously I can't disasemble it and submerge into a bucket like this. Thanks...

Once out, rince off, dry.. And won't oxidise ..leaves a film protecting it.. ive used it for a few years now? as I use it to pre clean anything, I wan't to go for rezincing.. The know I don't bring rusty parts for zincing.. Its a pre de-rust.. top tip!! Buy the 5 litre... but to and use as and when.. because when you go to buy again, it's gone up by a few quid each time!

Although I haven't used evapo-rust, it is very well known that it is very effective, however it is very expensive. In the UK we have Deox-C produced locally and comes in plastic jar in granule form and works wonders and it is very cost effective compared to evapo-rust.

I wonder if you can paint it onto larger items? I have a fire extinguisher l want to turn into a lamp, and the bare steel is very rusty.

Looks great. Would you spray/wipe the items after rinsing to protect? E.g. Camelia oil?
