  • Happy Friday! Today we are chatting about sugar cravings and how to stop them naturally! I hope some of these resonate and are helpful. I would love to hear what tips you have found helpful in your experience as well!
  • I’ve heard that sugar cravings could also be related to dehydration. Every time I am craving sugar, I drink a big cup of water and most of the time it helps.
  • 1. Avoid excess artificial sugars, switch over to honey, maple syrup or stevia 2. Rest, nap, meditation, take a walk 3. Est naturally sweet fruits 4. Get the right levels of proteins 5. Take care of your emotional state
  • The sugar craving always start with emotions :-( I noticed if I am feeling depressed or unloved or just plain old sad, I will reach for CHOCOLATE! I have really worked at allowing myself say, no more than 3 small pieces of chocolate when I am unhappy. And I also try and remember all the things I am really GRATEFUL for. If I am really moody, I will begin by wiggling my toes (which usually makes me smile since I have started at the "bottom") and it is silly to be grateful for wiggling my toes, then I try to recap all the beautiful things in my day. Gratitude is grace!!!
  • I had a blood test and found out I didn't have enough protein. As soon as I increased my protein my sugar cravings went away almost completely. It blew my mind. This video is spot on

Coming from a beekeeper, get local honey. A lot of store bought honey is from overseas or a long distance away. It's also been pasteurized, which takes all the beneficial stuff and cooks it away. Stay local. Eat local. 🐝🌻

I’m on day 3 of no sugar. I have a brutal sugar addiction and I hit bottom a few days ago. So no sugar in my coffee and no honey in the cereal, no candy at work and no desert after dinner.
  • Perfect timing for this video!! Sugar is my go to whether I'm happy or sad. Lord give me the will power to cut back😫
  • Sweet for me is an addiction for me. Once is never enough. It’s like a bottomless pit. And hard to climb out.
  • I love how you mention that it’s ok to have a piece of chocolate to bring you back to homeostasis. I used to beat myself up for having some sugar when I felt upset but I have realized sometimes that’s just what you need to feel better at that moment until you figure out what’s bothering you! Just don’t make sugar a habit. Great video!!! Great content!!!
  • Fruit is my sugar. Dark chocolate with shredded coconut and cashews is my favorite treat.
  • Eating fruit really helps me meet my sweet tooth cravings
  • This video came at the perfect time. I have been having intense sugar cravings, and now I realize that I need to eat more protein. Thank you for this video!
  • Whenever i go early to bed hat is by 10pm and have a sound sleep my sugar carvings were nil or almost minimal the following day. Therefore I would conclude by saying sleep patterns and time of sleep also play a vital role in sugar cravings.
  • Sugar cravings are real. I wish fruit stopped me from wanting a slice of chocolate cake but it doesn't. Sugar is put into everything that isn't whole foods in the supermarkets because it sells. In the U.K. GMO's are not allowed to be put in the food. But it's perfectly fine to do so in the U.S.A. All our groceries should be organic and we shouldn't have to spend more money to get everything organic. No wonder so many Americans are obese. Most people don't stand a chance against the "non food" sold on the shelves of almost every supermarket chain. Thank you for your video, Dani. It's very informative and educational.
  • Wow! This was so spot on. Working through a sugar addiction and I always ignore my tiredness and push through. I say no to hanging out with friends all the time because I’m scared or want to get more things done and end up very lonely, and eat to comfort myself. You hit the nail on the head.
  • I found that drinking water and having a sugar free gum when I feel sugar cravings haas helped me alot (:
  • @anna.318
Yes so true about that point at 3:50! I always notice whenever I am sleep deprived, I have less self control and often eat something unhealthy, and you explained so well why that happens. All of the points in the video were so interesting to hear!
  • Stress brings on sugar cravings, my husband always tells me to take a deep breath and I always feel better and cravings stop!!
  • Being a diabetic and having CKD was a demoralising fact when I found out,my doctor wanted me to see a diaticien(nutritionist) but frankly that didn't help much.I felt confused and hopeless so I decided that maybe on the net I would find more information and finally found your channel.I have had better advice from you than I did anyone else.I thank you from the bottom of my heart, you have given me hope and help I need to understand my body more. You are such a smart and knowledgable person and the fact is you know how to convey your knowledge so well.I have watched your videos for maybe a year or less but I don't feel confused or hopeless anymore.Keep on helping those of us who want to know.
