Microsoft users worldwide, including banks and airlines, reported widespread outages on Friday, hours after the technology company said it was gradually fixing an issue affecting access to Microsoft 365 apps and services.
A representative with American Airlines confirmed Friday morning that a technical issue with CrowdStrike was impacting multiple carriers. As of 4:30 a.m. EDT, it and other airlines across the globe, including United Airlines and Delta, said they had grounded all flights until the tech issue could be resolved. The FAA confirmed Allegiant flights had also been grounded.
