Worldwide tech outages impacting airlines, businesses running Microsoft software

Massive tech outages Friday around the world are impacting airlines, businesses, offices and companies that are using Microsoft software. Apple and Linux systems are working normally. The issues are due to a technical problem that global cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike said it had identified in its software and was working to resolve. CrowdStrike provides antivirus software to Microsoft for its Windows devices. CBS News senior foreign correspondent Elizabeth Palmer has more.

    It got my PC. Having my OS backed up to the cloud and set as a boot option in BIOS saved the day!

    That would suck to have to admit. "Sorry everyone. I know it seems like we were just attacked, but that was our bad." I would imagine someone is going to be getting a long unpaid vacation for this. Maybe a few people!
  • Another reason to switch to defender. Microsoft will jump on this and make a shitload of money as customers leave CrowdStrike and switch
