This is soooooo good. I've been working on the laser choice for month, yes, maybe a year or so and I think with this set up helps me make my decision. You guys are amazing.

One of the main complaints about the cooling is that people use zip ties. Yes, the manual says to use them. However, pick up a few good quality hose clamps, you can get all you need for this for less than $5. Even though the connections might be barbed (referred to in this video as 'ridged') the hoses can and will leak without a good seal provided but the right equipment. Absolutely don't plug everything into the laser (compressor, exhaust fan, and air assist). It's not made for that. This is why the fuse blew because everything was turned on when the laser was turned on. The amp draw caused the fuse to blow. For one, don't plug everything into the laser, it can't handle it the amp draw from all of that.

Thanks for this! I feel a lot better about setting up when my laser comes later this month
  • Thanks for the easy to follow instructions! This makes the whole process less intimidating for sure.
  • I see Garrett is “workin” that laser!! Lol. I have the Omtech 60watt laser and totally love it. I was one of the gifted and my mirrors were in perfect alignment when it got delivered and I set it up. 😳
  • Quick question they sell plexiglass 24" x 36" is it possible to use the passthrough and use this size? Or am I stuck having to cut an inch off the boards (somehow) prior to putting them in the machine? I have the Ohem 80w laser with the 24" by 35" bed.

Do you need a 220v outlet or can you use 110

How you like that laser? I just bought the same from market place and can't find info about it.

Hello. First off I love you guys. You always give great content with your videos. Secondly I have an OMtech laser 60w that I bought in 2022. Never used it because I don’t know where to start. I just need that extra support to get started. Do you guys do one on one tutorials?
  • I have the OmTech 60w CO2. I'm glad you went through the full mirror test. I've watched others do it with masking tape, but they never explained the way they found dead center. I like your way of using the clear packing tape better. I may upgrade my air assist, even though I don't use it for cutting wood yet. I have upgraded the exhaust though, and got that rather then adding a noisy dust collector, I used a 6" inline fan, which runs very quiet and moves a ton of air. Did you get the 3D Printer yet?

Does their pass through operate like GF?
