Kawasaki KLR 650 on 80/20 Street Tires vs. 23 Miles of Deep Sand

I set out on my 2009 KLR 650 from my house in El Paso and tried to find some fun sand and cool routes through the desert!
She got dropped a couple times, with her Kenda K761s near the end of their life, but overall performed well!
I push myself to learn and gain experience every weekend.

    I used to live and ride around ElPaso and Las Cruces when I was younger. I liked it, on or off road. I wish I’d have had a KLR then, but glad I do now.

    You're a better man than I am pushing through sand with street tires. I don't even care for it on 50/50 tires.

    I really enjoyed this first person KLR footage. Thinking about getting a KLR or a T7 in my second year of riding

    You are lugging that bike to the crying point give it about 2,000 more RPM before you let the clutch out ! idling around ....yah you proved you can do it but think of the motor your hurting it going that slow have a heart give it SOME throttle PLEASE !
