Malgus didn't hate the Sith, he hated Vitiate and HIS Sith servants. He's the Qui Gon Jin of the Sith Order, the ideal Sith who truly broke his chains by leaving the Sith Empire
  • @BladeCrossEXE
I love Malgus' powerful single-handed strikes. Wielding a lightsaber like a club just seems so brutal and badass.
  • @darkxdead
Malgus is simply, perfect. Also the way he treats you in SWTOR through time just makes you respect him even more.

For me, Malgus and Bane are two of the purest representations of what a true Sith should be. They follow the path of the dark side rather than an empire, as well as their unending ambition. Those are two qualities every Sith should have.

Honestly I feel like Malgus is a perfect distillation of what the Sith Order was meant to be. He used his power to free himself from the chains of the Empire and Sith Order, to destroy anyone who got in his way; yet he was not so utterly consumed by it that he could not see others as equals, and he only gave in to his darkest impulses-spreading pain and destruction among his allies-when he was directionless and unguided. Malgus with a goal or master to guide him was truly an unstoppable force, which is why he's so terrifying once he resolves to break free of the Empire's control and his position as the new Emperor's Wrath: He has a goal, he has a plan, and NOTHING will stop him from getting it done.
  • In a lot of way Malgus was an OG Vader, and yet surpassed Vader by willingly killing his love instead of accidentally killing her and forever mourning her. Anyone who hasn’t read Old Republic: Deceived, I highly recommend it for a good story focusing on a Sith.

Malgus is a personal favorite because he is a progenitor of Vader in a lot of ways, from breathing apparatus to fighting style to romantic conflict. I like how his influence lead to Bane reforming the sith, without Malgus and Bane there is no Galactic Empire
  • Malgus was pain and suffering incarnate; he willingly killed those closest to him if he thought he could become more powerful. He really is an unstoppable rage machine.
  • I really like Malgus because he is the one you think is a strong, dumb, brute but he is rather one of the more complex Sith characters, and a personal favorite of mine.

Malgus is a character who understands himself pretty clearly. I think on top of everything said about him, he is also a character who tries to make other characters understand themselves too. Specifically, Jedi and Sith who were disillusioned by the "War that never ends" According to him. Which is why he spares some people and ruthlessly kills others. Side note, there is another character in the old republic who recognizes the War that Never Ends too. he a jedi taken advantage of by Vitiate's power. The difference is in how they reacted to this insight.
  • Darth Malgus steals the show in the Cinematic Trailers. He’s a freaking tank, and could kill multiple Jedi at once. Malgus obviously thought the Sith lost their ways, and he despised how some of them handled things. To be honest I think Darth Bane and Darth Malgus would get along pretty well. And he’s no doubt one of the most powerful Sith to ever live.

Malgus was PISSED when the Sith and Jedi made a truce...I really thought when reading the book he was going to wipe the floor with the Jedi during that meeting
  • @AwildRia
Always amusing seeing comparisons of Marr and Malgus being two more explored sith of that era.
  • Well said. Malgus was independent. He believed in himself and his destiny. He did not tolerate the foolish.
  • @frostywhyy
Malgus is my favourite sith lord from the SWTOR period. He reminds me of Vader, but Vader without any limits.
  • Malgus was also in his late 50s or 60s, and the guy could still go up against the best of the best Jedi. Usually Sith at his age would have aged twice over, but Malgus is still in his physical prime.
  • @redblade7029
He is an absolute badass and a rightful mascot of SWTOR. Could you please make a video about Darth Acina's rise to being the Empress of the Sith?
  • @RextheRebel
I was always under the impression that Malgus killing his lover only made him powerful for a brief period and then he became wracked with internal conflict which led to his demise. Though as we learn, his demise was not so permanent.
  • Malgus is by far one of my favorite sith, simply for his sheer unstoppable will power. It is absolutely insane the feats he has pulled off when he went after a task, battle, or opponent! But at the same time the fact that he found … his version of love, was kind of interesting. Especially for a sith. Overall he is an incredibly complex character stuffed inside a character that most would mistake to be a caricature if not looked at carefully.
