The thought of Palpatine being bullied by ghosts is just hilarious for some reason
  • Palpatine was more of a loner. We don’t hear him speak much of the Sith Order, other than when he is manipulating someone.
  • I find the fact that Palpitine might have been spooked by Korriband to be both hilarious and terrifying. I find it funny because he’s one of the most powerful Sith to ever live and yet he’s afraid of the ghosts of the ancient Sith, yet I find it terrifying because Palpitine was so powerful yet he feared them which shows just how dangerous the Sith Spirits really are. Even in death they’re still extremely dangerous enough to almost kill one of the most powerful Sith Lords to ever live.

He seems like he has this "teenage punk" attitude when it comes to the old sith lords. Like their disapproval is proof that he's on the right path. Which is a very sithlike attitude to have

I want to see a live action skit in which Ian McDiarmid attempts to study at Korriban only to be mocked by an ancient Sith portrayed by John Cleese.
  • The ancient sith would have had no use for any of the rule of two sith. The ancient sith believed in crushing their opposition with their strength and constantly proving themselves against the other sith. The rule of two sith focused on pure subterfuge. And limiting knowledge to keep from having any competition. They would have likely viewed any rule of two sith as weak and complacent in their knowledge and strength. And the throne for Vader was probably partly mocking and partly to encourage Vader. To show him not what he could have been but what he could be....if he had the strength, knowledge, and will to take it.

Korriban to Sidious: Go away, or we will taunt you a second time. (taunts him a second time).
  • @midgetydeath
To the ancient Sith, the ways of Bane’s lineage and Sidious are admissions of weakness. Remember that the ancient Sith were a lot like Mandalorians and viewed proving their strength as equally important as conquest. Bane and co did neither of these things.
  • I think this is a great contrast to Jedi force ghost who freely give their knowledge and wisdom to those they connect with

Bane was a fool. There was more to Korriban, than just the Valley of the Dark Lords. There was the Valley of Kings, where the Sith Purebloods buried all of their Kings, including King Adas. Then there was the Valley of the Most High. High Priests and Priestess were buried there. Every classification within Sith society has their own burial grounds. There was over a billion graves, tombs, and crypts on Korriban. Lord Bane, Zannah, Sidious, Vader, and many others could have learned from studying the many, many holocrons left behind. Perhaps even learned some of the long forgotten Sith knowledge, like time travel or flying. Or liquidation. That's casting a spell to turn an individual or an entire planet into liquid.
  • As far as I know, there were only two Sith that ever truly accepted by the Sith spirits of Korriban as their successors. Exar Kun and Ulic Quel-Droma. They helped others, but only those two they accepted as their successors. In my opinion it was because of their point of view. In a way the Sith degenerated to wanting to destroy the Jedi, the Republic. From the Spirits point of view this was not big enough. Anyone remember what Exar Kun said when he freed Ulic in the middle of the Republic Senate? "The Republic is not even part of the plan." Yes, Kubn lost in the end, yes, he made mistakes. But he had a vision. Even 4,000 years later Sidius' 'Galactic Empire' didn't span the entire galaxy. The Sith of the 'Rule of two' era have their goals set far too low for the Spirits of Korriban. It also stifles the advancement of the Sith in general. A Master teaches his student to a point and the student is expected to find ways to kill his Master. But everything the Master knew and didn't teach is lost in the process. And Sidius is the worst of them. He sets it up so none of his students has even a chance to surpass him. They are his tools at best. Of course the Sith Spirits did not care for Sidius. You have to wonder. Maybe they influenced his ability to see the future to secure his downfall?

Yes it should definitely have been Korabon in rise of skywalker. And instead of ships hiding in the planets crust. It could have been inside hollowed out small moons!! With only 10-15 resurgent class star destroyer having the planet fracturing weapons with a large fleet of star destroyers protecting a single ship!! With the final battle taking place over important planets all over the galaxy!!
  • @robbmorris
I like how Thrawn enters the scene at the mention of archaeological expeditions
  • In Legends there was something hidden on Korriban...the One Sith. Korriban was an obvious hiding place, and even the sith were known to ignore it. So who'd believe stories of a growing sith group there?
  • Sidious was powerful but he knew that the one thing that could challenge him was another Sith. The vague notion of a resurgent Sith Order would be a threat to Palpatine’s power, so yeah, it makes sense to me that he’d want nothing to do with Korriban.
  • A video focusing around a comparison of Korriban, Morriband, Malichor, and Exegol all as ancient Sith worlds might be interesting.
  • @choppergirl
Choppergirl: I remember seeing a 2 hour news reel at a drive in theater in 1977 as a kid about these Star Wars. Who won? Star Wars Nerd: it's complicated.
  • @trentw.3566
Palpatine doesn't like reminders of how small he actually is, in comparison to the ancients.
  • Personal I've always thought that the ancient Sith spirits were picky. About who they gave knowledge or respect too. Vader was a warrior who they could respect. Sidious was a puppet master who made demands of them. That and he wasn't nearly as powerful as he thought he was. Vader if in a healed or fresh body. Would have been the one in charge. Sidious forgot the truth behind the rule of two. The darkside consumed human bodies fairly quickly. Which is why age 55 to 60. Was the ideal time to retire him. That and the exceptance of death for the Sith greater glory.
