start of the video felt like a fever dream

Great to see another devlog and that you're continuing with Bob the Blob - the demo was fun!
-
I can say that you can make external pages of code in GDevelop and then link it in events. You didn't have to redo it 40 times as long as the objects mentioned are global. That being said use whatever you enjoy! 😊

Randomly came across this video, at the end of the day, follow your heart on what engine feels right... Every engine can develop amazing titles, but its upon the developer to make that work.

caso?

Good decision, coding is essential for game dev

if game maker doesnt work again, try godot, also im a firm believer in visual scripting, but it does boil down to scope, visual scripting just does not scale well in making a game from scratch, its just too harsh of an envioriment, unlike lets say rpgmaker, which always had visual scripting, but since they had their own tailored envioriment it actually worked wonders.

I like Godot!

I recommend Godot rather than GameMaker. Ofc game engines are just tools, it really depends on the users.
