Shirley spent her career in Dallas, Texas, her hometown, earning the title, Dallas Queen of Jazz, at her passing. She helped found the South Dallas Cultural Center, was cofounder of the first jazz festival series in the Dallas Arts District, and shared the stage locally with many local and internationally renowned artists. She preferred live performing and did very little studio work. This site will present what is available.
