On the first episode of Car Trek Series 6, AutoTempest challenges the guys to buy three cars each, for less than $30,000, to make their ultimate dream $30k garage. It must have a sports car, a luxury sedan, and a capable off roader, and they should represent the guys' favorite country of manufacture.
Tyler immediately went America all over everyone, with a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am WS6, Ed bought a questionably maintained 1999 Porsche 911 from Germany, and Freddy's Japanese car roots led him to none other than a 1995 Toyota Supra. The guys were then given challenges to see how much power they actually made, and if that power could be put down to the ground. Hold on to your butts.

Am I the only one to point out that neither Ed nor Tyler ran their car in the 1:1 gear? That would definitely give a different WHP rating.

The Firebird Trans Am WS6 may be one of the best bang for your buck sports cars out there. Because it's based on the Camero platform of the same years, you can find plenty of aftermarket suspension components to make it handle quite well and you get some really impressive horsepower and torque figures because LS. LS motors are the gameshark of engines, as Mr. Regular says. If you have one, you just win. Plus, you get to revel in the carry-over 90's nostalgia for just a little bit longer, which is nice.

so Hoovy got the car that a high-school bully would drive, Freddie got the Instagram clout car, and Ed got a car that looks like it was bought at a police impound auction after a chop shop got busted for selling stolen parts

410whp isn't a bad number for that WS6. Probably 500ish at the motor. Was running rich up top and idle was off. With a better tune, probably another 20-30 hp. Hoovie definitely got the best car for the money, without cheating.

He guys, great show! Really enjoy it. I have a suggestion (looking at you Tavarish), if you added an episode # to every title it would be easier for us to binge watch your series. Can't find the rest of the 355 build, 3r etc... Not a complaint, just in the middle of devouring all three of you guys content. Keep up the good work!

The Supra is awesome, but the amount of time and money he's put into it (and current market value) is quite a bit more than $30,000. Freddy's cheating.
