Man I'm Indian and I understand what they're saying in Hindi, and I just feel ashamed that someone brought up in a place where adults are respected is going around not only trying to scam old ladies but shouting vulgar slurs at them in Hindi when they screw up just a little bit. I’m always a little confused why every single scammer will get so angry at the slightest inconvenience; is it part of the scare tactic, do they really just not give a shit, or is the job particularly stressful in a way that brings out their frustrations on the victims?

My grandma called us one day, sobbing that my brother was in jail and the bail was worth thousands of dollars. If she had decided to pay the scammer immediately without telling anyone-- and she definitely would have in a heartbeat to save him-- she could have lost years of money leftover from three different jobs that provided for my mom and her brother. I just wanted to say thank you so much for the work that you do, even if you don't end up seeing this. It feels extremely cathartic knowing that there's someone out there making things harder for assholes that prey on people in their most vulnerable moments.
