Even if the fight may have been pretty one-sided, with Optimus being a lot more powerful and holding more experience, this song in of itself has GOT to be one of my all time favorite Death Battle tracks. I find myself coming back to it a lot. And I have no regrets. Wings of Iron is a badass song. Wings of Iron is my JAM!

With music this epic, who else thinks Optimus Prime vs. Gundam should have been the season 5 finale?

I've watched very few pre-90's cartoon/anime shows. However, hearing this theme play during Optimus Prime's battle with the Gundam makes me feel liked a hyped-up fan who grew up with G1 Transformers cartoon and the original Gundam anime, even though I never actually watched either of those shows. But, I have watched Transformers: Armada, Transformers: Energon, Transformers: Cybertron, and Transformers: Animated. I watched at least one of the Gundam anime shows when I was a little kid. With that being the case, I don't even remember the title of that particular Gundam anime show, and it definitely wasn't the original. Anyway, I think this battle theme screams nostalgia. Watching Optimus Prime VS Gundam felt like watching a battle of legends kind of like watching Goku VS Superman.
