The Super video blew up and in just a little over 2 months surpassed the Star Dream medley as my most viewed video, so I thought cooking this up would be a nice reward as I've gotten multiple requests for it even though I wasn't sure how to pull it off. But you've earned it. Plus, with the uncertain future of Death Battle and the recent passing of Akira Toriyama, I felt showing my love for both was only fitting.

This one was WAY harder to do than the Super video. The two versions are so different, so it was a challenge to say the least. It took a lot of trial and error and even starting over from scratch, but I think I was finally able to pull it off. Hopefully you think so too, and I hope you enjoy this just as much as the Super video!

"Final Formers" by Brandon Yates
Lyrics:
Thunder roars across the vast unknown,
Lightyears beyond our reach, vying for a cosmic throne
From a heart of metal, a dark desire burns,
Rage against a frozen soul that never learns

Where to stop, when to pause,
An ego chasing down the gods
Feel the spark, a blackened star inside your heart

Violent designs meet violent ends
Deceptive tyrants never choose to make amends

Die, Die
Why, won’t you die?!
Die, Die
Why won’t you die?!

Witness the glory of going beyond what you thought was the end of your strength
Hold on to hope if you wish but that won’t be enough to save you from what’s incoming

Facing the end of the world, you’ve chosen to
win over saving what you hold dear

From a heart of metal, a dark desire burns,
Rage against a frozen soul that never learns

Where to stop, when to pause,
An ego chasing down the gods
Feel the spark, a blackened star inside your heart

Violent designs meet violent ends
- (This last one does not appear on this video) - Deceptive tyrants never choose to make amends

"Behold the mighty Lord Frieza, ruler of a dying planet- MY planet! Where is your army? Where is your SHIP? So powerful, and yet you will wander the depths of space for eternity... ALL BECAUSE OF ME! What a fool!" In the end, Frieza has won, but what he won, was nothing more, than a pyrrhic victory: his ship is destroyed, his troops are gone, and in the end he was forced to destroy the planet he planned to conquer. In other words, Frieza may won the battle, but he lost everything in return, all thanks to Megatron, who can even laugh at him in death.
  • For those who don't know, the lyrics "Deceptive Tyrants never choose to make amends!" is a reference to the commissioned track of Frieza VS Megatron "Deceptive Tyrants" made by Brandon several years ago before the matchup became official.

  • "Behold the mighty Lord Frieza! Ruler of a dying planet, MY planet! Where is your army? Where is your ship? So powerful, and yet you will wander the depths of space for eternity, all because of ME! What a fool!" And thus, Megatron obtained the moral victory. Even if he lost, he won. And Frieza knows it.

  • @schizzo8959
Even in defeat Megatron showed what a badass he is and let Frieza back as a vulnerable piece of trash in the end.
  • Love the battle version much more now, thanks to you, man! I'm definitely use this for a v2 tribute of Galaxy Force/ Cybertron Megatron in the future. (While also crediting you, of course)
  • So apparently I wasn't really hallucinating when the opening of Final Formers in the episode sounded different That's pretty neat to know
