I would like to share: I am an avid Walker and do 5-7 miles each day. About a month ago I started to get some stiffness in my right knee. I had heard about tumeric over the years but had never used it other than adding it to a curry. At this point I decided to take tumeric. I used the ground powder from the supermarket and every morning put one teaspoon into warm ginger water. Let me explain that I love fresh ginger so each day I slice and boil some which I drink throughout the day. First thing in the morning I combine my warm ( not hot)ginger water with one teaspoon of tumeric. ( about 6-8 ounces of liquid in total) I then eat my breakfast. It has been one month and the stiffness has gone and I can continue my walking without any discomfort. By the way I am pushing 75 and feel amazing.

At the beginning of the pandemic I started turmeric, cayenne pepper, vitamin C, D3, Zinc and Quercetin. It’s been (3) years with not being sick, no allergies, sore joints and amazing BP reads (107/68). Not bad for a unvaxxed 75 year old who does not take meds. Take charge of your health!

My grandma was 112 years old when she passed away. I remember she eat fresh turmeric with meal every day. Even the turmeric leave is very good for health. She never sick. We are not like her anymore in our generation. Now I start trying to eat turmeric powder with hot water every morning. I realized it has significant benefits.

As a fellow physician I am so impressed with the clarity and accuracy you present the information!!! There is so much misinformation on social media and YouTube, it is refreshing to see information being disseminated based on evidence based medicine!!!

Thanks for discussing this topic! About a year and a half ago I was shocked to find out I had a fatty liver from a blood draw. I immediately went on a low card diet, did intermittent fasting and took milk thistle and turmeric supplements. After 3 months I reversed the fatty liver and lost 30 pounds.

Extremely thoughtful and well done. Curcumin is growing in popularity and having an informed medical review such as Dr. Kim provides is helpful to many.
  • I see this is a relatively new channel with a wealth of information. Please keep posting and thanks for your time and effort.
  • My love for turmeric is frm my childhood as im an indian,,we use daily in recipes but taking raw turmeric paste with black pepper powder helps a lot in different problems,,im taking this combo since 6 yrs nw,, miracle for everyone
  • Dr. Kim: This was a top notch review of the benefits & side effects of tumeric. Your photo background, & audio enunciation was easy to listen to and digest. I'm on board for more of these! - Jim Eastep, DVM Diplomate Vet Path (ACVP).

What an absolute treat to have a channel with genuine, fact-and research-based medical info. I take turmeric powder and a pinch of ground black pepper with my breakfast muesli, with milk. Its making a great difference to my arthritis knee pain. Wish id known about this years ago. As for talking to my doctor about turmeric...he'd probably know very little about it ! Well done and thank you

Doctor Kim your instruction on turmeric/curcumin is very professional and knowledgeable. Thank you so much.
  • Love this! Thanks for making these videos. Would definitely like more videos on scientific based evidence for different supplements. I’m just starting to see a naturopath and though I am open to trying different supplements I’m also skeptical as there has not been enough medical research on a lot of them. I also hear that’s been changing so it’s really helpful knowing what some of the more recent studies are showing. I would love to see a video on cordyceps if you have any information on that one.
  • Thanks for posting this information. May you continue to be a blessing to others ❤️
