Their names are quite accurate. Flamethrower Troopers get thrown into the air by flames, shoretroopers will have their bodies wash up on the shore and the Death Troopers are... Dead.

Imagine if the friends into was actually like this and all the character introductions were just them in their death beds or them crossing the street about to be hit by a car, or them feeling pain in their chests.
