We saw a very healthy bull shark swimming up the river.Glad to be in our kayak and if the river is so important then start looking at septic tanks for compliance.

There’s a bunch of people who buy building lots next to dairy farms and the cry because they don’t like the way cows smell. Personally, I’m in favor of those laws that allow public access to water ways and allows everyone access to the water a not just those fortunate enough to buy water front property.

So we can’t go on vacation there and paddle boarding and stop and swim? Wow it was going to be my first time there coming up but will be canceling my trip what’s the point of going if I can’t stop and swim

Please post video updates if you have any more info on designated areas and whatnot, I like the idea as long as they allow designated areas cuz 6 miles is quite the hike without a rest. As far as the residence, this is a waterway, not your private property. And since I see most residence tailgating, don't get pissed when visitors do the same...

How are kayakers and paddled boarders supposed to take a break…it takes energy to do that so what if you have to pull over to take a little break? Are you gonna get it trouble?

Will I would say you can’t tie up on someone’s dock but the river should be left alone it’s a public water way just have the dnr portal it more catch people throwing trash and drinking more

Weeki Wachee was so much nicer 40 , 50 years ago . I’ve always felt that no one should be able to to build on our waterways or beaches the waterways should be open to all the only thing that should be on our coastline I’s Marinas, Boatyards , Restaurants, Boardwalks, Parks all single family dwelling should be built 1 major roadway off the beaches . The Florida Coast , Rivers , Springs should be open and accessible to everyone.

They can’t enforce that law, it is an unenforceable. Too many people on the whole river for one boat cop and one jet ski cop to tell everyone they can’t swim. I’ve been swimming in the river while they go by and haven’t said one word to me.

Nobody blames the kayaks. There are just TOO many! It’s so congested!
