I knew I'd be a lifelong fan ever since I heard 'Body' for the first time. Her approach on songwriting is so beautiful. It's like an inner voice, that coaches you through the heartbreak, love, fears and crooked truths that life throws at us.
  • Lydia wears a cross is my daughter's song. I sang it to her in the womb and when she was born and I held her for a while.
  • Pre Pleasure is an absolutely phenomenal album. Lyrics, arrangements, performances, mixing, everything is just blisteringly good. Seeing Julia and her band play the new songs live a few weeks ago was also such a fantastic experience. The talent is off the charts.

And I've got a feeling That this won't ever change We're gonna keep on getting older It's gonna keep on feeling strange
  • Every album Julia posts seems to coincide with exactly what I’m feeling and going through

Saw Julia live in Dublin this month and she blew us away. The band need some serious credit too, they’re so locked in. Mimi is such an awesome bass player
  • watched the whole thing with tears in my eyes. "ignore tenderness" is such a meaningful song for me, and i can tell it means a lot for her to sing this live. also so happy they played "to Perth"!!! everything keeps changing!!! love this woman so much. glad to say she's been a part of my twenties.

I think the thing that keeps Julia’s quality, live and recorded, is that her performance is honest. It comes from a very deep and natural part of her life experience. It comes out as organically as if she was simply retelling her life but with all the emotion she felt at the time. I love her band here too, such great harmonies and you can tell they’re feeling it.

Mimi’s harmonies are absolutely beautiful. Plus the bass lines are killer
  • love Julia so much ever since the last time I saw her on KEXP

“Eastwick” performed on a Brooklyn rooftop. Life was never the same again.

Julia is the best and I'm loving the new record. Missed her earlier this year when she cancelled her shows with Courtney, but I've seen her twice prior and she's amazing.

I've been waiting for so long to watch Julia's new live videos on YouTube, and KEXP brought her back ,what a music

Love her so much, my wife and I caught her a couple months ago at Stanford and she was the highlight of the evening hands down.
  • Remember finding the crushing album few years ago whilst going through a hard time. Was one of most beautiful albums. Took a while to get past ‘don’t know how to keep loving you’. Then even longer getting past ‘when the family flies in’. Can’t wait to see her on the 11th at the roundhouse in London
