From the director of Scarface comes the critically acclaimed crime thriller Carlito's Way. Oscar® winner Al Pacino gives on electrifying performance as former drug kingpin Carlito Brigante, who is sprung from prison by his high-powered attorney (Academy Award® winner Sean Penn). He stuns the New York underworld by vowing to go straight from a history of violence, but his plans are undermined by misguided loyalties and an outmoded code of honor. In a life-or-death battle, Carlito takes on the relentless forces that refuse to let him go. Co-starring John Leguizamo and Luis Guzman, Carlito's Way is a powerful, action-packed ride all the way to its explosive conclusion.

"U ain't a lawyer no more Dave, u a gangsta now... U on tha other side... Whole new ball game... U can't learn about it in school & U can't have a late start". True 💯 shit
  • The way Dave pulls his gun out lol he really thinks he’s a gangster. He cracks me up in every scene. Sean Penn was phenomenal in this movie.

To think, all in a 3 year span Pacino did this, Scent of a Woman, and then Heat. Legendary.

Man, they definitely don't make movies like this anymore! What a classic .
  • @ihategoogle6066
Carlito could have made that train if he had just accepted Benny's champagne and kept it moving. Sometimes pride can get you killed faster than a bullet will.

Notice at 5:09 Bennys face is full red as Carlitos is half red. Foreshadowing he’s not 100% the man he once used to be. Crazy cinematography!

Idk why but Pacino’s delivery on “Maybe I don’t give a shit” cracks me up every time 😂😂

Carlito's Way, A Bronx Tale, Donnie Brasco, Goodfellas...aaah good times

The screen presence of Al Pacino is just unbelievable, a master of his craft. One of the best all-time actors in my lifetime!
  • 3:10 " This guy was you twenty years ago" This part hits, because we look at this younger generation with dislike, but that use to be us growing up
  • 3:30 Sean Penn’s face is hysterical when Carlito is telling Benny off.😂

I feel bad for that waiter. The pressure and anxiety going on through him trying to please everybody 💀

Sean Penn as David Kelinfeld. One of the top 5 dirtbag roles in cinema history.
  • Both the negative and positive in Carlito resulted in his death. Pride and mercy. The very essence of who he was caused his death, and he died happy, having became a better person and more importantly, always true to himself. Life or death he was always genuine

Back from the days when going to the theater was worth a trip, a classic from Al Pacino and John Leguizamo.

Still think this movie deserves way more props than it got. Really brilliant the way they had everything closing in on him throughout the whole flick. And who could forget Viggo Mortensen as Lalin
  • When your a gangster, you must always be a gangster. Not Killing B.Blanco , sealed Carlitos fate
  • @thedust850
John Leguizamo played his role perfectly. He can do comedy and play a bad guy. He even did well in Spawn. Wow...

Such an under appreciated film. Everybody does such a great job. Pacino and Penn both should have been nominated for awards. Brilliant stuff.
