As a Bruins fan, I was pleasantly surprised at how knowledgeable you two were on the topic. Appreciate the video! Just as an FYI because it wasn't brought up - the Bruins are likely looking at Brandon Bussi as their backup. If they decided to pick up Foresberg or Korpisalo, it would likely have some retention and the Bruins would be compensated with a draft pick. This is very possible IMO, as the Bruins don't have much draft capital.

I think there’s a a good potential of a trade here. But there are two viewpoints. If I’m Boston, I think Ullmark’s NHL success to-date and his youth definitely command a significant return. I agree with the LonS take that it would have to come with some sort of contract extension. From the Ottawa perspective (and the reality league wide), only so many teams are in the market for a starting goalie. The limited market is why the return for goalies is lower than you would expect. It’s not that goalies aren’t desirable, the position is perhaps the most critical and important piece for almost every team. But only a handful of teams are looking for starting calibre goalie’s at one time and have the assets the deal and are desirable. Less than 5 teams. So two of those teams now have their new goalies, leaving only two or three teams in a position to trade for Ullmark. Boston may not get their asking price. They already may have waited too long.

As utterly dreadful as our goalies were last year I think they might roll with the same guys. With a good D and some decent defensive forwards maybe Korpi might be less atrocious? And we have to ask how much are we willing to spend on the crapshoot that are goalies?
