Lyrics:
You said you did it for the dopamine
You didn’t mean to leave me so fucked up
You did it for the dopamine
And could it be that I’m just not enough
It’s so hard to accept
That you’re gone and that’s it
You did for the dopamine and it didn’t mean anything at all

God I’ve been up for days
Might be losing my mind
Caught up thinking of ways
I could turn back the time
Time is not on my side
And I don’t know what to say
Feeling empty inside
Now that you’ve gone away

I can picture you
At someone else’s place
And he’s got his hands
Running down your face
Is it in my head, cause I just can’t let,
My demons go

You just did it for the dopamine
You didn’t mean to leave me so fucked up
You did it for the dopamine
And could it be that I’m just not enough
It’s so hard to accept
That you’re gone and that’s it
You did for the dopamine and it didn’t mean anything at all

Guess we throw it away
I don’t know who to blame
Leave it all in a day
And just put out the flame
Told me time and again
You don’t believe in the past
It was us against them
But nothing good can last

I can feel it now
And it hurts like hell
Can you live without me
Only time will tell
Is it in my head, cause I just can’t let
My demons go

You just did it for the dopamine
You didn’t mean to leave me so fucked up
You did it for the dopamine
And could it be that I’m just not enough
It’s so hard to accept
That you’re gone and that’s it
You did for the dopamine and it didn’t mean anything at all

Yeah, yeah
It didn’t mean anything at all
Yeah yeah
It didn’t mean anything at all

It's so damn rare for a band to be around this long and then put out an album that absolutely kills it. Love this album.
  • lets take a second to appreciate how hard sum 41 have worked over the years. The memories theyve given us and the incredible music theyve created. It really sucks to see them go but I wish them luck on what future endeavors that they partake in

As an almost 30 years old I want to say a big BIG THANK YOU sum 41. You were there with me when I was just a kid and trying his best to figure out how is life working. So much happened with me. Been sad, dissapointed, in love, crushed, left alone, happy, high, smashed, drunk and so on. You were always with me with your emotional support. You are my childhood. I would be a different person without you and I feel like you don't even know how much impact you made on some people. I remember cristal clear when I found a random naruto AMV video with Hell Song. I was instantly hooked and I still listen that song to this day. Pieces were walking beside on the empty streets when I was sad. Some say were there when I felt empty and lost. Fatlip was there when I felt crazy and wanted to change the world. Hell song was there when I had a big challange ahead me. Crash was there when my heart was broken. With me was with me when I needed somebody. It's been a ride my friend, you don't even know who I am, but I need to let you know. There is a guy in this word and whenever he needed some help you were there. And all I say is Thank you for everything.❤

Sum 41 was the first band that got me into punk rock. Does This Look Infected? was the very first album I ever bought with my own money. SteveO inspired me to go the extra mile when playing my drums. I was inspired to be a better person thanks to your music. You will be so deeply missed. "I'll be with you always. Know that all these words are true."

Deryck, thank you so much for keeping Sum 41 going for so long, after all you've been through, you're such a huge inspiration to me and one of my main focus when life goes harder, I encourage myself with Deryck story and it cheers me up. Sum 41 mean so much to me even still at 32 years old and you always will be my favorite band. Thanks Dave for coming back! You fucking rule! Thanks Tom for filling a deep hole! You're fucking Awesome! Thanks Cone for never leaving! You're fucking cool! Thanks Zummo for stepping in! You're fucking badass! Thanks Steve for the time you were there, I miss you and hope you'll make a surprise appearance in shows! I won't be mad if you ever decide to write a new album in the future, I swear!

Man, I'm 39 and this album makes me want to cry The music just reminds me of everything in my life since high school to now. I still remember seeing them here in my city when I was 18 and Derrick gave me the bull horns. I freaked out. Just saw them last year with The Offspring and it was more nostalgic. He's gone through a lot and his voice isn't the same live as it was 20 years ago :(
