9:30 is the very first thing I thought of when the news of Kobe’s passing broke through. Shaq’s happiness and love for Kobe in his voice and Kobe’s humbleness in his silence make me so emotional. I love them both and I wish nothing but love for Kobe’s family and the families of all the victims.

After Kobe, Tim and Lebron, there's not going to be a lot of players who get statues outside of stadiums or other accolades. Today's game is about shuffling players around to fit a team's system and salary cap, instead of stars making a name for themselves on one team. The NBA is turning players into journeymen instead of local "heroes"
