'It's quiet' is actually just the battlecry of the 69th Deaf Regiment from the planet Tinnitus
  • @Greatdictator
''The melee attack does little to no damage'' Well....they definetly got that right for the Tau
  • “Auto aim on is the default setting” Ohhhh, so that’s how the Tau do it
  • @magicalgirl1296
The idea that there's a single Tau fire warrior who's so good at fighting that the ultramarines conscript them, just them, to help them fight chaos is pretty entertaining.

The reason why the Guardsmen are always saying its quiet is because they've been deafened by all the warfare and bombardment.
  • played this about 11 years ago with my best friend and had a great time. never realized it was a WH40K game until now. this is like finding out your uncle was a serial killer.
  • I think the wildest thing about Fire Warrior is the twist in its novelization; Khorne's blessed the main character Kais, thus why he's such a meatgrinder despite being a bogstandard Tau soldier he can punch way above his weight and kill Chaos Marines and such like he's the goddamn Doom Slayer. At the end, Kais even screams, "BLOOD FOR THE BLOOD GOD.

"Hulk Hogan is in a cathedral, and fighting the devil. Hogan is wearing 50 trucks worth of metal. Also the cathedral is the size of Rhode Island. And in space." Unironically the best summary of 40K I've ever heard.

the sword is actually the most OP weapon in the game. When you fight that first space marine (or any marine 1v1) run up to him, crouch in front of him. The AI cannot handle a crouching tau sized enemy and the marine will just stand there while you wail away on his shins. Quite the heresy.

Imperator Titan stomping past Guardsman regiment Guardsman: It's quiet.

“The Supreme Kid, which smites down all other factions that oppose his own.” The most honest description of Matt Ward in years.
  • @domesday1535
madman with a revving chainsaw being gunned down by a machine gun while the whole place is being blown to bits by orbital bombardment "It's quiet."
  • @Rekaert
It's strange to think Republic Commando was released only two years after this. It plays like a gap of ten.

Oh man. I just discovered your channel and have been binging through it, and finding this video was just amazing for me. I was a QA tester at THQ US for the PC version of this game. We knew the whole time we were testing it that it was a pile of garbage. And your perception is correct that the project schedule was a sloppy rush. The part of the team that I was on mostly focused on testing the multiplayer, which crashed at random intervals, with no reproducible conditions we were ever able to find. The game was shipped with that issue still in. Part of what commonly happened with game testing at big studios back then was that the later in the production cycle you got, the less likely it was that the dev team would decide to fix an issue. So smaller issues like backwards textures were not even worth bringing up after a certain point, and major issues like crashes during network play were a roll of the dice. But hey, I met one of my best friends working on that project, so it wasn't a total loss. Great video!
  • If i was a Tau and would open a door with 7 Guardsmen repeating "It's quiet" in the same tone and voice on the other side i would be terrified
  • @DanateDMC
Well of course sword is useless. You are playing Tau.
