He’s going to be a club legend, we absolutely love him and we’re grateful to have him.
  • Without doubt one of the best players to play for our club, it’s been an incredible journey from 13th in the championship to chasing down the champions league places scoring the winner in the playoff final, keeping us up on the last day of the season it’s been an absolute pleasure to have him represent our club now our captain he’ll most certainly go down as a legend at Villa Park.

Pound for Pound the strongest player in the Prem League. Very rare to find a player that can smash into a tackle and knock Declan Rice onto the floor and then 15 mins before pirouette on the edge of the box to score the winner. One of a kind. And a future Villa legend.

What a brilliant Man, Captain and player he is for Aston Villa brilliant to see how good he is now under Emery. I love this man and I am so proud he is our Captain his celebration for his nephew who has to wear glasses to play football says it all ❤❤❤
  • in 10 years time we will look back at this villa team and miss players like mcginn very rare breed and very unique, hardwork mixed with talent is something u cant beat these days.

Being Villa ST holder, he's a great lad to watch. Off the pitch, he has a great character and sense of humor, brilliant to have in the squad. On the field, he does not look like he should be a good footballer. He has a strange running style and a different body shape, he uses his posterior to great effect. I have rarely seen a man in a Villa shirt put in more effort. He has exceptional strength, and close control, can shoot with both feet, has a great eye for passing, and is not slow. Questioned the captaincy being taken from Mings, but he's warranted the decision fully. Saw (in the flesh) his recent goal V Arsenal, the way he took possession, used his bum to keep the defender at bay, and swivelled a shot in was brilliant. Villa Legend!

Helped win us the Scottish Cup in 2016 after over 100 years will always be a legend at Hibs. GGTTH.

So happy to see our captain finally getting the recognition he deserves from non-Villa fans. Totally deserved. UTV!
  • Sad day for us Hibbys when he left. Delighted he went to Villa instead of Celtic, sick of our former players comin back to pump us. This laddie deserves everything good that comes his way. His ma an da must be so proud of him and his brothers. Three pros out the one house, wow.
  • John is playing his best ever football this season in an excellent team 👏

McGinn is really the anti-"Modern Player" in every sense. The work rate, the physicality, the team-first attitude, the unorthodox style... humble, approachable, unglamorous... he doesn't glide up the pitch he barrels like a freight train! But there's a reason he's called McGinniesta. He's Super John McGinn!

What a great video. Had the pleasure of working beside him at St Mirren & interviewing him many times, he’s always been such a great guy and I’m absolutely delighted to see him do well. It couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.

really becoming a top premier league midfielder nowadays. I wouldn't sell him for 80m. absolutely unique and has an inate ability to progress the ball forward. Emery must love him

Always rated John Mcginn as a Liverpool fan. Just a proper lad and it’s great to see someone work their ass off and make it on the big stage!
  • @mattjeffries465
Absolutely adore this man, what a captain he is. Very much remember being in the holte his debut against Wigan and the place erupting for that sliding challenge on Reece James late in the game. He was superb and is well on his way to becoming a club legend.

What a hero. Hope he wins a cup at Villa to go with the ones he got at St.Mirren and the Hibs
  • @Overhemd
Been a fan of him ever since I saw that wondergoal against Sheffield Wednesday. Look it up, the final replay in the first result video is the most satisfying football shot I've ever seen
