  • The secret intro plays when you let the title sequence play twice
  • Another neat little thing about this game I love that I haven't heard a lot of people talk about, is how it changes certain dialogue after you've already played through it once before. Reason being because of time travel. I can't remember all of them, but I do distinctly remember before the final battle with Majora after you've done knocked out Skull Kid, Tatl and Tael go to reunite and during the first time you play it, Tael explains how it isn't Skull Kid's fault and that he was lonely and Tatl responds with her basically saying it's not an excuse cause he was trying to destroy everything. And then she is surprised to see Majora act sentient as at first she thought it was the Skull Kid and also begs Link to reverse time since she's scared to follow him into the moon and doesn't go in with Link until Tael says he'll go instead. Then if you replay the battle again after beating the game (and I think dying during the MM battle works too, not certain on that, I always noticed it after went to replay the battle), before Tael even gets the part where he explains why Skull Kid did the stuff he did, Tatl interrupts him with basically a "yeah, yeah, he did that cause the mask caused him too, blah, blah..." and Tael is surprised she knows what he was about to say. While I think she still acts somewhat surprised at Majora coming alive (can't remember specifics, it's been a while since I've last played), she doesn't react exactly like how she did before when she first thought it was Skull Kid talking. Lastly she acts ready and willing to follow Link into the moon instead of begging him to reverse time like before and even tells Tael to stay behind. I just found that neat as a kid and even now still do, cause it adds another layer of depth to the fact that they are, in fact, time traveling and that there are probably other people other than Tael that finds it odd that they know stuff about them that they shouldn't. lol
  • Who else was hit with serious nostalgia when the second intro music played? Great video!♥️
  • Majora's Mask is and always be a testament to how dedicated and amazing Nintendo can be. For such a rushed game, it is so beautifully designed. It leaves such a deep imprint on all who've played it.❣️
  • I just realised something... Link was born (coincidentally) on his birthday. Oh how the turn tables.
  • Absolute legend sir. Very happy with how this turned out, and as always it was a blast working with you! Here's to the next one <3 P.S. I did not know about the Zelda toys secret :O
  • The Gamecube in the 3DS version isn't the first reference to the system in MM. There's a drawing of a dolphin under the pots in the Observatory in the N64 version; Dolphin was the original name of the system that became the Gamecube.
  • I remember somehow triggering the secret intro by complete accident. I didn't even know there was a second intro.
  • @DarthAles
There is another very cool secret you missed which you can only find on the very first 3-day cycle. On that first cycle, wait for the final hours to begin on the final day while standing outside the astral observatory (technically in Termina field). Instead of getting the usual cutscene with the clock tower opening you get a completely different one.
  • Wait... So that intro wasn't something I dreamed up, but something I accidentally accessed? This game keeps creeping me out.
  • I only play Ocarina of time and Majora’s mask once every two years so I can forget and re experience the elements of both games.
  • I feel like "without a doubt" is a mandatory phrase in any Zelda video.
  • About the alternative Intro Title Screen, all I had to do was watch the first one, wait a while and it would reset and start playing the second one. It wasn't a "secret" to me, but that's because I've been combing over that game for nearly 20 years now, including the 3DS remake. Edit: I wasn't able to find a lot of things (Heart Pieces, the Lottery, etc.) in the game until the 3DS remake due to the Bombers' Notebook being so limited for 13 years.
  • I'm fairly certain that the alternate title sequence plays when you let the intro play twice. I also think there are 3 alternate intros, but I can't remember rn as it's been a while since I last played.
  • This game being rushed sorta worked to its favor. They didn't filter ideas out, they just let the creativity flow. Turning into other species with the movement benefits that come with them is an idea I wish Nintendo would revisit, whether by masks or a different means.
  • Great video! I used to be a huge theorist back in high school when Twilight Princess was about to come out, but since I basically ended up spoiling the game for myself because I was so into it, I stepped back until literally two days ago. MM has always been my favorite and I remember thinking the alternate opening was false until I did it and totally freaked my best friend out in middle school, haha! Great to be back and that there are great content creators like you around these days! I’m so old... haha!
  • the alternate Majoras Mask intro also appears if you just leave the game on and do nothing lol it will eventually start again from the beginning and play the different one the next time. The same with Ocarina of Time, hell even Banjo Kazooie, Banjo Tooie, and Donkey Kong 64 have a similar feature as well. Seems like nintendo like to give players different alternate intros back then for just leaving the game on and not playing it lol
  • I’ve always wanted to play majoras mask, I hope it Nintendo ports it to the switch one day
