The CIS didn't just kill millions of them, they killed all of Mundi's family. And all he did was say it's the will of the force.

2 brains and a traditional mindset. Can you really blame them for being cold, cynical, and callous? These fellows really are a product of circumstance, and not a good one.

In my opinion this is the best Star Wars discussion channel on YouTube.

Jedi have a history of not being bound by the culture and prejudices of their own species, so that traditionally "evil" species such as Hutts and Trandosians could have moral Jedi members that rejected the brutally of their own species. But in this case Cerean society may have already had a lot in common with the Jedi attitudes of the late Republic era. And in Mundi's case they simply reinforced each other. The average Human, Wookie or Twlek has a different philosophy to the Jedi Order, so they still had some compassion and it could affect their Jedi upbringing. And species with traditionally completely different nature to the Jedi could substitute the Jedi teachings for their own (sometimes) twisted ethics. But with Cereans they just doubled down on their own detachment and hidebound nature as they were already like the Jedi Order, so they got a double shot of nurture and nature.

I'm guessing the phrase 'reject modernity, return to monke' applies to the Cereans pretty well with how traditionalist they are.
  • @topcat59
I would say it’s a mixture between both his culture and his upbringing that made him the way he is.🐱

So Mundi wasn't the only asshole, the species as a whole can be massive jerks. I know there's the whole thing about being set in you're own ways and that's fine that's you're choice as an individual with free will, but when you force it on others like the older Cereans did to the younger ones then you've crossed a line.

Ironic Mundi fell in as a Jedi. Him an his whole race seem predisposed to Falling more in line with the Dathomirians, Sith an Rakkatans with their attitude an demeanor then the Jedi Especially in Mundi's case, the envy of them like Anakin. Being he basically HAD to get married an have a huge family an was expected to let the whole universe see an know it.. an DIDN'T care when he lost them... While Anakin was expected the exact opposite.. cuz he was Anakin
  • @inquisitorgarza312
I believe that Mundi was just a sociopath even compared to his fellow member species, especially when his position in his homeworld was threaten he immediately behead the growing rebel movement in the younger generation, and he probably did it with a smug smile while using his Force Powers, really am thankful that the Galactic Marines gunned down this totally self-center cone head.
  • @KyloStimpy
this looks like a job for some Kaminoan genetic manipulation
  • @casbot71
Would Mundi's offspring been far more likely to be strong in the Force? It does run in families.
  • @nemesis7774
Funny thing, one of the MTTs on that last picture is so dark in the shadow of the commerce federation dropship and the shapes are a bit weird, which makes it looks like Vader's Mask
  • @schurerest7661
I’m curious what happened to them in the empire era
  • @Cubus-zapasowy
If male Cereans aged and died faster then how come Ki Adi Mundi managed to live like 70-80 years (and cold have more if not for the Order 66)?
  • @lerneanlion
Fans of both Star Wars and anime harem genre upon hearing about the Cerean society allowed polygamy: I like this society. The same fans earlier when they heard about how much awful the Cerean society is a moment later: Let's destroy this society!
